i own a house in whitby. in general, from a pricing stand point from highest to lowest:
brooklin > whitby > oshawa > bowmanville
really, it depends on where you are commuting to. i really like whitby/brooklin, though i'm a bit older and settled down now

But I see an offer on Ebay for $1300. How trustworthy is this? Says its new, has 88% positive feedback (315 ratings). Seems like same exact model, listed as new. Dont see the word "Thunderbolt ports" anywhere in the ebay listing.
Free shipping too. Im scared the 2015 model is becoming rarer, and I dont want the Touch ID crap. I figure the 2015 model is cheaper.

Apple Store also has a 2016 MBP without touchbar for $1900 minus education discount so you get the upgraded hardware without the touchbar. 128GB is trash so I'd get this from Apple. It's the safest bet.

I'm really not looking forward to having to re-download stuff, but will likely just focus on NHL 17 and some smaller games right now. I wish I would've finished Ratchet & Clank before trading, though - same with the Uncharted remasters. Those will take 2-3 days.

Backed up my PS4 on an external USB HDD, traded it in with 5 games that qualified. In the end it cost me $155, and I get a $100 console discount at work (once per FY, needs to be expensed) so the PS4P only cost me $55 in the end. Felt weird going back into an EB though, but was nice that it only took 10 mins and the rep I had didn't push warranties.
Using the restore function now and it should only take 1.5h to get up and running again.
I feel like an idiot because I didn't know there is an option to back up and restore (basically a system transfer) using an external device until I looked it up today!

Dammit I'm still stuck at work and the only EB around me that's still open is at the mall. I called them at lunch and they only had two PS4 Pros left, I really hope there's one left by the time I finish.

I guess they wouldn't hold it, huh? There was a phone call when I was there, and there was mention that the item couldn't be held, and that employees couldn't do so either. I assumed it was the Pro, especially after they told me it was one per person.

I was going to buy a second, not for profit, though. I used to trade in a lot of games and amassed some credit I would like to use up and get cash for. So, my plan was to sell it on Kijiji for cost, which I did when I bought a Wii U and then received one at launch.

STC used to be my go to place for trading games. Helped that staff never pushed warranties on you and I ended up being friends with one of them that now manages a few locations.

I just don't go into EB as much as I used to. All that trading nonsense stopped a few years ago. And the garbage ass prices.

A store may have old stock, but your best bet is online. They probably don't make them anymore.
I used them a lot, myself, and had two die on me just as they became hard to find. Then they started making them again, so I got lucky. But I haven't seen them in some time.

The right side of the console has the fan for air intake, can you place it outside and test it for a bit. mine is pretty quiet I have it in the open.

I called them again and got a guy this time who said he had "more than enough". Looks like the person I spoke to earlier may have been bsing about only 2 Pros in stock.

It was at Bayview and John in Thornhill. I got the last one behind the counter but I also saw 1 or 2 (hard to say) locked in the bottom of the PS4 game display case.

Are those thumb grips EB is giving away worth using? I've never had an issue with my sticks before, and am hesitant about even bothering with them, especially on a new controller. I only have two and they're both unused.

I use the ones that are dome-like (similar to the PS3) sticks just cause it makes three sticks slightly higher. I find the concave ones too tall, and the four nubs on the surface feel weird.
I'm mostly using it just to not wear out the rubber on the sticks themselves, and cause I got them for free with my pro

It actually took me a while to figure out how to put them on. The best way is to turn it inside-out, then place it on top of the stick, then roll the edges onto the stick. Trust me, if you struggle to force them on, you may make little black scratches in the controller from your nails. So rolling it on by turning it inside out is best.
I did not see any residue either. There was a bit of white dust on the them when I first took them out of the package though. I just brushed it off

Wasn't planning on getting a Pro, but my finicky HDMI output on my current PS4, plus the great trade in deals and the fact I'm planning on upgrading to a 4K screen soon makes it very tempting. I'll have to go in store and get the whole promo situation sorted out.

I'm not sure what to do. I'm very interested in getting the pro. 210 for PS4 50 off pro price. I got tones of games so I'll trade 5 for the 100 more in credit. So 150 plus tax is a great price.my only issue is I got the uncharted PS4. I really like that blue colour machine. If it was an black PS4 I would have done the trade in deal. Normally I would just pay full price for the pro but with Christmas around the corner I shouldn't spent all that money on myself. Plus I still got about 4 more games coming till than. I will be getting a 4 k tv most likely in February . I'm not sure what to do

That's a tough call. It's all circumstantial, though, so it's going to come down to what you really feel like.
Maybe wait until you get a 4K TV? But I know the trade-in promo will end soon. That's the reason I got mine now, because I'm not wanting to get a 4K TV yet, as it seems too soon.
