I got the 65" version for $1280 USD + 7% tax with the invite thing that was going on at GAF lol

and my friend had to pay $236 CAD at the customs (Sarnia border)

so in total I paid around $2000 CAD for my 65". In BB they are selling it for $3500 + tax lol

and that B&H site tracks Amazon.com price. I don't think they have their own sales. So if Amazon.com have BlackFriday sale. It will be lower.

If you live in or near the GTA, and are interested in the KS8000, I'm going to suggest checking out Hi Fi Citi in the Dufferin mall (http://www.hificiti.ca/).

Looking at the bhphoto video costs (after customs) the 55 inch model is coming out to $1667. Hi Fi Citi quoted me 1699 for the 55 inch, and said a further discount was possible as well if I got in touch with them. They've been in business for quite a while, and I'd much rather go for the option for a bit more money (maybe even less depending on what sort of discount they were talking about) that offers a valid manufacturer's warranty, not to mention the possibility of in-person exchanges if there's something wrong with the tv.

They also had the LG B6 up for $2000 CAD (when that $1500 USD sale on ebay was going on). Very good prices in line with the exchange rate rather than the over-inflated prices you get from best buy.

Unfortunately they don't carry the 49 inch model though.

Also, there is a restocking fee if you want an outright refund because you don't like the tv, so I would only suggest them if you are absolutely sure about buying a particular model.

Hmmm, thanks guys. So BH basically buy stuff from Amazon and resell them, that's why they use Amazon prices?
When added to cart it says shipping will be $100 USD, and if there are no duties then that comes to about $1350 CAD, with duties another $200 CAD on top at the most.
Hmmm, not bad, I'll decide on Black Friday I suppose, hopefully it doesn't sell out instantly.

Amazon sent me an email stating they are still looking to get me my NES Classic. It as late but I managed to add one to the cart on Friday and buy it. Guess this means I won't get one till the next wave of shipments.

They also have a price protection. If the price went down, you can contact them to get a refund on the difference.

I showed the guy the receipt someone posted earlier and he said its not supposed to stack. Looks like whoever got them to stack the offers got lucky. I ended up getting $183 for the PS4 which sucks as its $27 less but oh well it is what it is.

Even if it was, you should be getting at least $201 on it. $175 is the PS4 trade value. They have a 10% increase promo + whatever EDGE card that you have. You got a bad rep.

$175 + 10% + EDGE card + $50 = 250 at least.

Looks like he didnt add the 10% to the $175. Seems I only got 5% for the basic free edge card.

Ended paying around $190 total.

Edit: Can I go back to get them to change it or am I stuck with what I got?

Just to clarify, there are two promos active:

  • A combination of Trade Up to 5 $8 games for up to $100 + $50 off for trading towards Pro + 10% extra on the regular value on top of your Edge bonus. Not supposed to stack with other trade offers.
  • $210 for PS4/XB1 trade in towards Pro. Not supposed to stack with other trade offers.

They also ran promo 1 for the XB1S and PS4 Slim when those came out. The one out now is essentially the same but for the Pro this time.

With promo 1, you're supposed to get $175 + 10% + Edge Bonus % for the PS4 trade in. Then $50 is taken off the Pro price. More credit is applied if you add some games. Things would've been just fine if they just reused only promo 1 like they had for XB1S and PS4 slim.

They really fucked up hard because they put up promo 2 for the $210 a week before the Pro launched. Instead of making that the only promo for the Pro, they revived promo 1 as well on the day of the Pro's launch. Based on the wording, neither of two promos are supposed to stack but now you've got different stores pulling off some crazy combination of the two.

Yup. Go back and tell them that they forgot to add the 10%. Its on their goddamn flyer lol. You will probably miss the $8.25 from $210 if you only have their red/gold card.

I initially just got the $50 off ($175 for trading in my console), but went back with my receipt and got the correct discount.

The $210 for the console and $50 off do stack (plus you can do the game trade-in for $100 promo too), but not everyone who works at EB/GS knows this. You don't need to be a member of the Edge program.

If you run into any problems, politely ask whoever's helping you to call their manager. The computer doesn't apply the discounts automatically, but the manager will confirm the deal and explain how to retroactively apply it to your purchase.

I paid $146 for my Pro trading in my old system and five games.

Meh, not sure if dealing with EB Game's bullshit is even worth it. It's not like the PS4 Pro is even useful to me until 2017 when games actually use it, and at that point I'll just get a scorpio which is more powerful.

Scorpio is more enticing, but I like to play far too many different games.

If you can afford it, I'd get good value for your regular PS4 before it's worthless.

Titanfall 2 on the Pro with a 1080p TV has an image quality so improved thanks to supersampling that it went from, "oh that looks decent" when I played on OG PS4 to "Wow, that looks amazing". Battlefield 1 is apparently much smoother to play. And Ratchet Clank looks simply unreal.

The Pro is already benefitting games.

Edit. Oh, you can't actually pre order it yet. Still, happy to see that price floated.

Looks like those are on the EB "Trade More, Get More" list. You can get an extra $10/20/30 credit for trading in 3/5/7 games respectively.

I can confirm that the promos do stack as well, did mine on Friday. I would suggest going back to the store and asking the manager if they can re-do the transaction.
