Anyone want my FFXII Steelbook Amazon order? It's currently at $33 with Quebec Tax. I don't even have a PS4. Not looking to make a profit, happy to pass it on to a Gaffer. Even got an email this morning confirming Release Date Delivery. lol.

Hi I'm interested, sent a PM.

Has anyone here ordered anything from play-asia recently? I never realised the customs wait was so bad. The item left Singapore on 4/22 and didn't clear customs until 5/20. Still hasn't arrived either.

The last item I ordered from them took FOREVER to arrive. I was certain it wasn't going to arrive. It did eventually, but took a really, really long time.

There's a big thread (200 pages) on RFD with people noting asia purchases taking upward of 100 days to arrive since last year.

It depends on where they come from.

My orders from Japan get here almost faster than Amazon's, but anything from Thailand or Singapore will take forever. Play-Asia is based in Singapore so...

Not a gaming deal but a good cineplex movie deal.

Basically, you pre-buy 5 movie tickets that can be used this summer only, with different ticket tiers for certain types of movies.

You will save at least 15% and can use them for reserved seating and online, no need to line up. You can use 2 tickets per show, so if you plan on seeing at least 2 movies this summer with at least one other person, it's a no brainer. If you buy tickets via the mobile app, they show up as passes that you can easily redeem.

Silver generally covers what most people watch, amazing deal if you go to a lot of IMAX movies.

Truth, Japan Post is really quick. I thought Play-Asia was based in Hong Kong? I've never had an issue with them. DealExtreme and basically anything off of AliExpress, or someone shipping from China on Amazon/eBay, though...

Hmmm. I'm averaging 6 weeks from JP for the past year.

Used to be no more than 2.

All this Vita talk. Just fired mine up a two weeks ago to finally finish P4G.

Sigh...such a great system. It's terrible Sony just dropped it.

If you don't mind refurbished, this is as close to factory refurbished as you can get in Canada: https://mtcfactoryoutlet.com/?s=vita&post_type=product

MTC is the authorized PlayStation repair centre in Canada. I ordered a slim model from them a couple months ago for Persona 5 remote play and I couldn't be happier with it.

I can also vouch for that site, I got my second Vita (white 1000) from them.

$100 for a black 1000 is a pretty solid deal.

Oh shit its on sale, the OLED is cheaper, but I heard those screens don't last as long.

I've had my first Vita since launch and used it a lot, and the screen and battery life are still fine. Apart from the serial number stickers having peeled out it still shows virtually no sign of aging.

MTC is awesome.

They are the only authorized service centre in Canada for PlayStation System repairs.

Can vouch for them. Got my PS3 from them and it's still running perfectly.

hmm. Would you recommend buying a TV from this store? They've got some pretty good prices, and I don't mind going refurbished as long as it's done well.

So I finally got some extra cash and wanted to go get persona. Went to a mom and pop shop at the mask and they didn't have, but I thought, OK there's a Walmart, let's go there, but nope, none at all. And people wonder why I have pretty much just gone full Amazon.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

Did you try EB Games?

Huh, that's neat. I never heard of them before.
It's also 80 bucks to repair a Vita... why not just buy a refurb. lol

Do you know if they are old (3.6) firmware?

3 DBOX movies = the price this come out to,

Want to watch:
Wonder Woman
Spider-Man Homecoming
War For The Planet of The Apes
Baby Driver

Worth it already.

There's a bunch of other movies also releasing that I'm undecided on but interested in, so yeah, bought the silver package already.

Got the e-mail for this earlier, it's a damn great deal. Cineplexes are a bit of a distance for me, though, and I have a Landmark cinema quite literally around the corner from me, so I won't be partaking. But I hope plenty do, since it's awesome!

I hope the Gamestop/Amazon partnership comes to Canada too. Imagine being able to apply all the crazy EB trade in credits this year to the prime deals.

Eh. Don't expect any of this coming to Canada. We're still waiting for the GCU to come. And it will always be like this for us.

I think mine had 3.63 (???) but emphasis on think as I immediately updated to the latest available for remote play with my PS4.

Anybody pre-ordered Stormblood PS4 and received their code yet?

Amazon.ca hasn't sent me one yet and CS isn't helping. I'm thinking of cancelling and ordering elsewhere, anybody had luck with ebgames or bestbuy?

Oh shit this is actually pretty worth it for me and my friends. Thanks for the tip

Wonderwoman, Spiderman, and the final Planet of the Apes movie were already must watches for me this summer. Plus Cineplex w/VIP and UltraAVX is only 5 minutes walking away from me.

With VIP tickets at $25 a pop, the Gold deal is a no-brainer!

I didn't order stormblood but I can tell you Amazon is terrible with codes. I waited a full month from Amazon and eventually they gave me $17 so I could buy A code from eBay.

Does EB sell Amazon gift cards? I've got an EB gift card and would rather use it at another merchant.
Or I could get an Xbox Marketplace gift card, I bet they definitely carry those.

Thanks for the link. Are you able to use these on movies that just came out? I often see "NO PASSES" on release weekends for shows, not sure if these are the same thing.

Yep, they work. You would be surprised at what No Passes actually means - it is really designed for people with freebie tickets, not gift certificates. The reason being is it steals a seat and ticket from the box office receipts so movie distributors, not theatres, will restrict shows because it deflates numbers. They take opening weekends very seriously.

https://cineplex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/235905687-What-does-No-Passes-Mean-

They just show up as per purchased tickets on the Mobile app, no restrictions.

Is Amazon not accepting anymore applications for their credit card? I want it ;(
They stopped in April. Throughout school I've been so careful with my credit card and spending, because I know that Chase can be stingy with their acceptances and I really wanted to get an Amazon card after I graduated. Then they went and cancelled in my final year. Now it's like I spent all that time building my credit for nothing.

I mainly wanted it for the foreign transactions and when I go travel. I guess Rogers doesn't do that?
You can use the card everywhere. If you don't have a Rogers services, just get the Fido card since it has no annual fee but it still has the same cashback when used on foreign currency.

They used to waive the foreign currency fee, but that changed a few months ago. Now they charge the typical 2.5% conversion fee; however, you receive 4% cash back for foreign transactions instead of the normal 1.75% for purchases in CAD.

It's definitely a good card if you're already a Rogers customer. They also waive the annual fee if you use the card as a pre-authorized form of payment for your Rogers bill.

The really high cashback on foreign purchases actually makes it slightly better than Amazon as you're getting 1.5% cashback after you take into account the 2.5%. Amazon was 1% cashback with the 2.5% waived. If you're a Rogers, Fido, or Chatr customer I recommend it.

Or if he's not, he can get the Fido. It doesn't have an annual fee and he can request an annual statement credit on it by the end of the year.

If you are a Rogers, Fido or Chartr, get Rogers but if not, then get the Fido.

Well shit. Has Amazon and/or Chase said anything about shutting down the Amazon Visa card for existing owners at some point?

My Amazon Visa is my primary credit card and I don't wanna let it go...
