Say what you want about May's policies, but she is a very smart woman. It's entirely possible that she knows more specific policy details than any other leader.

Trudeau's main problem is not his youth or inexperience, it's that he's such a shitty public speaker. He can't go though a sentence without a few "euhh" or "aahhh". It's almost a speech impediment. It's even worse when he's speaking french.

It's too bad because I do think he has potential and could be a decent PM.

his response are the same as a hockey player with the umms lol doesnt bother me however

That wouldn't shock me at all.

I was going to say her Charter plan is crazy...but referenda on amending the constitution is basically what's expected now thanks to Charlottetown.

Mulcair's Senate plan basically amounting to "If we wish hard enough, it'll happen!"

I'm not saying I want her as PM either, but she's a pretty bright woman.

i so badly want to recount the time i met her but it would be hearsay and therefore bullshit. i will just say she's very well rehearsed when it serves her.

i hope this doesn't come off as anti female nonsense. i hate that shit. but... not her. nooope.

ANY Senate reform needs Constitutional change and that means re-opening it up, and re-opening up Provincial demands

Senate Reform = Constitutional nightmare

It's funny to see the Facebook guy act like their live polls have any legitimacy. When you allow anyone who wants to vote in a poll to vote, then you get party partisans flooding it.

What you need are panels and groups of undecided voters randomly chosen to get a good feel for how the public is reacting to the debate.

She's a great parliamentarian if nothing else.

Even if he's wrong, Harper's foreign policy answer is probably his best so far. He specializes in being belicose and wrapping himself up in the troops and the flag, and that let him do it.

Meh, she stumbled on her wording, but I think her intent was clear: she was trying to quickly say that ISIS doesn't represent the teachings of Islam.

Sounded like she was saying that they follow some ancient, unofficial text (i.e. the Quran).

I know what it is. I was laughing at Trudeau saying that we would have the same oversight as them (i.e. the NSA).

I'm surprised anyone used Five Eyes in a positive context :s

Elizabeth May has been a very positive force in these debates. Very knowledgeable and good fact checker even if you admit you'll not be voting for her.

May just said all the right things about C-51. Trudeau messed up on that when it was going through the house of commons.
