well the CBC is like the abandoned commonwealth child of the BBC

very similar to each other but the CBC eventually got its own identity

I think it'll be quite a while before weed is legalized and regulated with Trudeau.

He has committed to it but has been a bit iffy on timelines.

I hope he does it faster though as it'll be a huge money boost for the government to kick off the infrastructure spend.

Like every Newfoundlander, I love Rex. One of Canada's great curmudgeons.

The riding will be very competitive, there's a popular incumbent NDP candidate Ryan Cleary, former journalist and proud blue collar Newfoundlander. He's in a riding that with a weaker NDP candidate would definitely go Liberal--so uniform and proportionate swings are coding this as a Liberal pickup.

He's facing a star Liberal candidate (Seamus O'Regan, a broadcast journalist who is also very well liked. If O'Regan has a weakness it's that he's been away from NL for a while and so he's been accused of sort of carpetbagging his way back.

The Tory candidate is a rounding error. I think either O'Regan or Cleary would make pretty good MPs for the area.

Full disclosure: Besides being my riding, my wife worked for one of the people I mentioned by name in this post.

That's why I think it'll be legalized reasonably fast.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of those types of promises will end up on the back burner. I can't see how taking his time hurts him or how rushing helps him. So, yeah, I think it will be quite a while.

Fundy Royal here. Meathead Moore didn't even have to campaign and he's got this wrapped up.

Libs/NDP split the vote again.

He kept mentioning needing studies due to current weed strength.

I think that was for pandering to potential swing conservative voters who don't agree with legalization, so didn't want to make a firm statement on it. So hopefully that changes once elected.

Like we saw him for so many years lol.

I predict he will do some "errors" that will make him look dump. But NOTHING that is important.

Like i can clearly see him at a Event, people start dancing and "sexy reggea beat start", he start to do it and shake his ass a little bit for the "lol".

Then, next day all media in Canada will show that for a week lol.

His boxing match too was a kind of that. Nothing "Major" will happen, BUT A LOOOOOOOOOOOOT of funny things will happen.

Yep... Rob Moore has been the Con MP here for over a decade, and I've only actually seen him out in the community doing shit like once.

Didn't know who to vote out for since the cons have such a stranglehold here anyways, but ended up going with NDP.

Yeah, Trudeau looked like an idiot in that John Oliver video. He fell down a bunch of stairs on purpose. LMAO!

Saw him once at the airport as we both waited on a plane from Ottawa to Montreal to Saint John. Never in the riding or at any function. Just get his ridiculous CPC tracts in the mail and ads in the Hampton Herald.

Voted Liberal as they had a slight lead over NDP according to 308. Looks like we helped vote him in again.
