Jumping back and forth between this and the Star Wars countdown... This is looking to be a good day.

Also good job Jays.

lol

When Peter Mansbridge tells you not to back into the street it's like your dad just grabbed your arm and yelled at you for not looking both ways.

This is probably how many NDP supporters feel. My mom and dad voted NDP since they came to Canada but it's never counted for anything. They were defeated too and were thinking of voting Liberal today but I told them that our riding is NDP. My point is, we need PR.

I think NDP support would shoot up across the country. People who want NDP can vote without their vote being wasted and NDP can represent the views of each of their voters.

I don't know if there has been a push for electoral reform in the past but I feel like we are closer than ever. Once we get over that hump, dreams will come true.
I just think electoral reform won't happen now. Or it will be a watered down thing that won't actually change anything. The NDP won't be in any kind of position to push for reform that they want.

I mean, I'm still holding out hope in Quebec, but I'm literally on the verge of tears here. This feels like a complete let down of Layton's legacy to me and I feel like I'm watching his funeral again.

God bless all my old friends/And god bless me too, why pretend?
What exactly were you boycotting?

I never liked how voting wasn't mandatory and started a voting boycott until they would make me vote.

But this election was too important and broke me. I am happy though I think, voter turnout is high! I heard over 1.3 million just in prevoting

I've been sitting here laughing at this for far too long.

That seems... so backward, Mike.

I'm going to repeat my question... What do those numbers in the brackets next to the Riding Names on the CBC Stream mean?

ex: New Brunswick South (155/210) <-- What is that

Quebec will tell the tale of the NDP.
I don't even want to hazard a guess as to how many seats they're going to wind up with at the end of the night.
Even Mulcair isn't safe, and I'm willing to beat he loses his seat just because that's how it seems to be going tonight.

Oh fucking hell, a plug for Murdoch Mysteries.

If you are young, that is perceived as apathy for the political parties.

I feel you, being and NDP supporter as well. But its entirely the NDP's fault, to me their downfall started when they started spouting that "balanced budget" bullshit.
