First off, congratulations my fellow Americans, today is a decisive point in your country.

It is so difficult to look at those maps however as an American, because the colors are swapped for what I would consider liberal and conservative. The complaints were jarring until I remembered this. NeoGAF appeared a conservative hot-bed haha.

The more I think about....

We fucked up guys. Strategically voted the wrong party, I even voted Liberal but I have bad premonitions of what is to come.

max was 145 seats. this is just crazy

There were some projections that had them getting up to 160. This makes that look too conservative.

That the Conservatives got so many seats blows my mind. I really don't understand a significant percentage of my fellow Canadians.

Stop shitting on my team. Start shitting on my finger.
Wow. Did not expect this.

Liberals have no excuse to not deliver on their promises. They have basically been given carte blanche by Canadians today.

yeup. They promised electoral reform, increased spending and a return from the Harper shitshow. That resonated, the people HUGELY supported them, now it's on them to deliver.

Electoral Reform is the big thing for me.

If you follow the US elections which is an even bigger shitshow you still get >40% of people voting conservative, which is even more insane. Old people and rednecks and rich people gotta be old and redneck and rich.

Yeah, we flipped the colors to make things confusing for Americans specifically.
Also, think of the pockets of orange as Ross Perot.

It's the Liberal party. They're going to do something shitty inevitably because that's just what they do. lol

He should just fucking lose. Save us the ultimate humiliation of having him publicly resign his seat, only to have a by-election have the seat go Liberal.

I want him to lose his seat, obviously, if only to save us the cost of a by-election, though part of me would love to see him sitting in the House as -- to use his terminology for Trudeau at the start of this campaign -- the leader of the third-place party.

You say that as if there has ever been a party ever elected anywhere that has not done something "shitty". Even if some mythical world where the NDP got elected, they would have done something "shitty".

Yup, never voting again. Someone quote this post and call me on it if, in 5 years NeoGAF still exists and I say I'm voting then.

Why? The next election may be a totally different show. I've voted for the Greens every election (voted NDP this election just to try and re-elect our NDP MP) and I have yet to feel discouraged from voting even though the Greens are still a tiny party.

I just want the NDP to die. Every NDP MP should just resign and give those seats over to the Liberals or Conservatives.

Seeing them during Question Period is just going to be salt in the wound. :(

Please help me with my bad english
Random fact: Trudeau's office used to be just a couple of meters from where I live.

Never though he'll become a Prime Minister in my lifetime.
