Weird. Me too. Except I was drunk and fell off my chair.
Alcohol may have been involved. Just happy to see Harper gone - hopefully things can now change for the better.

RIP Duceppe. Nothing more embarassing than a leader not even winning his riding... :/
This guy will never be called a "legend". He will go down in history as one of Canada's worst prime ministers, same as George Bush for the US.
I'd argue that if they do want to replace him they should do it soon (within the next year) in order to give the new leader a chance to make a name for themselves as leader before the next election.Yeah. We're looking at a Liberal majority anyway, there's no rush to switch leaders for the NDP right now.
I think going from potentially forming the next government to losing 50 seats is more embarrassing.RIP Duceppe. Nothing more embarassing than a leader not even winning his riding... :/
Niqab issue caused voters to flee the NDP in Quebec. Once that started, voters in Ontario began switching their allegiance from NDP to Liberal because it became apparent the NDP no longer had a chance of winning (over half of the NDP's seats were in Quebec). This happened in the rest of the country as well.
Perhaps without the Niqab issue, the NDP would have maintained 30 - 33% support and the Conservatives would've gotten a minority government.
May still has a seat. I'm impressed.

That's what I and everyone else who I know who normally votes NDP did. The loss of Jack Layton and the desire to oust Harper was too much for the NDP and it seemed like the Liberals got behind the strategic voting earlier and harder than the NDP did.Is this the real legit reason? Heck seems like NDP supporters starting to believe that. But why not vice versa for them.

Lots of NDP people voted Liberal to get rid of Harper. Their sacrifice won't be forgotten.
"an extremely famous or notorious person, especially in a particular field." is the definition for legend
doesn't have to be positive

Yeah, he resigned because of that controversy regarding his endorsement article. Was just looking at CBC .ca and noticed that coyne resigned from the post? Wat. Gonna have to read this.
It was the best part of his speech. Loved it.
I wish all canadians spoke both languages and we didn't need a translator. That would be the dream.
Muclair needs to take the L and resign. The NPD need to rebuild their party. I feel like the liberals won't do much in the next 4 years.
Niqab voters in Québec city went to cpc
Trash radio effect.
We won. This is such an amazing feeling.
This must be what voting in Obama was like back in 08 for Americans.
Trust Chantal. She is usually right. This is why I have no more hope.Damn, the French lady on CBC just made it sound like the NDP is doomed for a generation. That was a little much
I counted myself one. May be the first election where my vote actually mattered.Lots of NDP people voted Liberal to get rid of Harper. Their sacrifice won't be forgotten.
