why are people in here acting like desperation is such a bad thing lol? What xian did was the epitome of desperate given their match history. People do desperate shit when odds are seemingly insurmountable. Desperation isn't always a bad thing. People throw out desperate supers. Players mount combacks because of their desperation. It's all in the game.

"Desperate" is not disparaging Xian here, it's reflecting that had he played one of his mains, he wouldn't be in Winner's Semis right now.

It's double elimination, there's a winner's side and a loser's side. Daigo was on the winner's side when he faced Xian and Xian beat him, putting him in the loser's bracket where once you lose there you're out of the tournament.

I think he switched to Fei Long periodically at the end of AE2012, but I don't think he's played it much in Ultra, if at all.
