Well, most people spend hundreds if not thousands getting there. They aren't going to get DQ'd in their own pools.
From my experience, 8 AM pools at Evo typically have 3-4 no-shows per 16-man pool. So even then a chunk of people don't get out bed.

I didn't mean people coming to play in their pools, I mean finals day on Sunday. I got there at 11AM when I went back in 2011 and their were no seats to be found in probably the first 30 rows lol.

Well, finals day is a bunch of different games. First game is OVER at 1pm. This is 11 hours of Street Fighter.

It's also like a 12-hour event or something.

Would not be surprised if a number of people wait until top 16 / top 8 to drop in.

No one being there is a huge bummer, I figured this was some pre-show ceremony or something like that.
