Actually, I'm not sure. You would assume so but Nintendo isn't named throughout the report (this is from April this year) other than the last page in reference to the Switch 2 for projections, and the breakdowns are totally focused on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

I'm not sure how "impressive" this is when historically, consoles have outsold PC by a wide margin and it only recently started going the other way. Furthermore, it's a single platform vs 2/3 and the trend over the past few years has been for PC or PS to have the lion's share with Xbox as a distant third.

This has not been true since apple silicon. You are not getting anything close to price/performance of Mac mini or air on the pc side.

Because the console load for most third parties is almost entirely on PlayStation despite it being slightly behind the PS4 in sales and the Series X being way behind in sales to the One. The extended cross gen period and undeniable increase in things other than game sales contributing to revenue from even last gen is also a factor. And I would say that the 5+ years old online games are a much newer endemic as far as consoles are concerned.
Since this gen started, right. Again, I'm just saying it's surprising how much PS has taken the load from Xbox despite not boosting in userbase.

If you can afford a mid range build and don't need all the particles shooting at your face, then it's the best option. What you save in software cost makes up for hardware cost over time.
