Cool, I already played RE7 on PS5, but I'll pick up Requiem and Village, both look like fun.
Nice to see Capcom supporting the platform.

It seems like they don't care which Resident Evil game you buy so long as you buy one. Fair enough
Definitely.

Capcom are good at keeping their brands in people's minds. They often do Humble Bundle etc offering nearly entire franchises and sometimes a percentage coupon off the latest game if it's new. It's how I got into Monster Hunter - a bundle prior to Wilds' release. I already own all of the RE games they have on PC. If I didn't have such a big backlog I'd buy one or both of these current bundles:

How about a PSVR2-version of RE7?

I still refuse to buy 8 & 9 until I haven't played RE7 the way it's meant to be played (which is neither flat screen nor the PSVR1-version).

I still have to play RE8 and probably I'll pick Requiem too. I'd just have preferred they releasing them with more distance, bringing 7 and 8 some months before the new one.

I actually like the fact that Reqium is coming to Switch 2 as it means its probably very well optimized and should run well on PC and the consoles.

Nice I wonder if it'll keep the RT GI and RT reflections like Star wars Outlaws on switch 2 did.
From the trailer, looks like it's not, that said we shouldn't judge it by it's trailer, that could be from an early build of the Switch 2 version. We pre-judged Star Wars Outlaws and Elden Ring only to find out the original reactions were to early builds.

Actually looks decent enough for it on Switch 2. Happy for those who would only play it this way and getting the opportunity to do so.

I would rather having 7 and 8 releasing one month or two before, than on the same of the day of the new entry in the series.

Hair and everything else looks so much better in the official trailer than it did in the Direct

Cool, will be interesting to see if they do Onimusha and Pragmata as well. I haven't played any of these newer RE games but maybe I'll give Biohazard a go to see if I like the new style, if the price is right.

PS5 Pro version was captured in Ray Tracing mode.

Ha, they did the same thing on Switch 1. They flooded the system with 7 different Resident Evil games (mostly combo paks) and will do the same with Switch 2. Resident Evil franchise does very well on Nintendo platforms

... One of the central points of this thread is that Switch 2 is getting Requiem on the same day as the other consoles. Did you not read the topic at all?
It's incredibly bad marketing.
"It's official - we're bringing you one old thing everybody else already has and another old thing everybody else already has and one brand new thing everyone else also will have."
The two old generic multi-plat x86 titles effectively cancel out any perceived benefit to be had from the one new generic multi-plat x86 title.

Well many of the Nintendo only fans never played these so good for them.

I find myself much more excited about handheld 7 and Village than I am about playing Requiem. I've learned to be cheap with the RE series since I bought them all for cheap on PS5

Remake 2 and 3 for $10
RE7 Gold for $15
RE VIllage Gold for $30
Waited a year for Remake 4 Gold to be $30

So, I'll wait for Requiem to be $30ish to play it on PS5, and because 7 and Village will be key cards, I'll probably wait until they're $20ish each.

What? People are going to be disappointed about getting a new game day and date, because they're also getting two older games that weren't previously available on the platform or its predecessor at the same time? I can't even fathom an actual human being thinking this way. Why would anyone be upset about that?

This is so stupid. How about releasing them before reqium you morons.
It does feel like a missed opportunity to not have released RE7 as a shadow drop immediately after the direct, and then maybe somewhere between Black Friday and Christmas for Village. That would have been a good way to build hype/momentum for the new release.

Guessing you've never worked in advertising or marketing.

How would you have marketed these three games coming to Switch 2?
