in an IGN interview, Capcom says they woudl like to bring back other IPs

Before Deluxe Remaster, the series remained dormant since Dead Rising 4's release in 2016. Should fans take Deluxe Remaster as a sign of things to come? Is there a chance Capcom will go back and remaster other Dead Rising games or perhaps consider developing a new entry altogether?

DRDR Dev Team:Capcom would like to continue to bring back many of its IPs. In hopes of expanding upon the Dead Rising series in the future, we'd first like to put effort into promoting Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and share its appeal with fans around the world.

Megaman needs a game that actually pushes the hardware. This series is always an afterthought. This games needs a rebirth more than anything. Dino Crisis definitely needs to be look at.

To have two zombie IP's going is kind of insane given how much diversity is in Capcom's library. Guess the numbers say we still haven't had enough of zombies...

I would love to see old capcom franchises come back. I'm concerned.... Exactly how that would be handled. How do you remaster some of the very old games?

I see one of two options.

1) Throw everything in an AI upscaler, add widescreen support and call it a day.
2) Go full fat remake.

Dead Rising benefitted from being a relatively modern game that really just needed some elbow grease and spit shining.

I'm also concerned that games that got recent collections, or were part of recent collections, would be completely ignored. I'm looking at you, Meganman.

Wake me up when fuckin' DEMON'S CREST gets a remaster. There's a game that deserves some attention.

Seems like Megaman would be the easiest thing to bring back, but I wouldn't mind seeing them reinvent Breath of Fire.

Still though, more new IP like Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is what I want most.

*Sees GAFbros already put forward every good Capcom thing that needs to come back(Rival Schools, Powerstone, DarkStalkers, Dino Crisis, etc)

*Nonehxc leaves with a tear of pride for GAFbros 🥲👍

Shadow of Rome could use a bit more polish, more weapons, more enemies, more arena options, multiplayer and you got a worthy reboot

"I'd try that too.. but I really hate money and really would never like to see any of it again in my lifetime"- CEO of Konami.

For me personally:

  • Dino Crisis - more like 1 and not 2 or 3
  • Onimusha - Japanese Survival horror settings are so missing this decade
  • Devil May Cry, V was great, I want more Dante though dammit
  • Lost Planet - 1 was genuinely a decent game, 2 was ok and 3 was sent out to die

Honestly can't think of any old IP I want them to bring back.

New IP please. Exoprimal and Kunitsu-Gami are both great.

bring back Onimusha
It is crazy how fans from all over the world have been asking for Onimusha and Capcom does nothing to bring it back. I hope the last survey they got the message that the IP has space in the current gaming landscape.

Bring Onimusha back, you cowards!

They have a lot of franchises that they have forgotten and i would love to see them returning either with remakes (although the dead rising one is concerning with the modern adjustments or the resident evil 3 which it was good but a lot of things were cut) or new games:
-Dino Crisis
-Darkstalkers
-Megaman
-Asuras Wrath
-Lost Planet ( the setting and the lore are good for new games)
-They did a Punisher game if i remember correctly, i would love a punisher game made by them
-Clock Tower
-Onimusha (the first two are incredible games and the third one was fun)
-Maximo (i only played the first one)
-Haunting Ground (but in this modern times its a little difficult to do it but who knows)
-God Hand
Very great games that sadly some of them are forgotten.

Breath of fire.

BOF4 HD 2D remaster, then give us a new BoF proper. Do it you cowards.
