They probably saw 9S in Nier Automata and thought it would be a good ideaYeah I don't know who green lit that as being a good idea. Out of the big 3 Capcom games coming this is at the bottom of that list for me.
May you enjoy the underwater combat of dropping rocks and the return of the CLUTCH CLAWI know majority of GAF hates Wilds but I loved the game and I'm SUPER HYPED for 2nd title update.
I'm not sure about that one but they said most of the fight going to be on land.....so I'm still happy to fight him again.May you enjoy the underwater combat of dropping rocks and the return of the CLUTCH CLAW
He worded it oddly. He said 'making a horror game based around Leon is difficult...so he's a bad match for horror'Sounds like no Leon. That's kind of a love it and hate it thing for me.
I'm not sure its exactly like in Automata since when 9S hacks it stops the action to do the mini game while in this you do the hacking while fighting. They probably saw 9S in Nier Automata and thought it would be a good idea
I agree and also I agree devs saying it hard make horror game around Leon because they guy is way too experienced to be scare of anything. So Pragmata looks fun. Probably Capcom's new era Megaman.
RE9 footage looked great and both perspectives will add replayability.
If Leon isn't in RE9 or playable then I think that's a great thing because he is overused. A cameo or support role would be fine.
I like having new characters that add to the lore of RE so I'm hyped for that.

Personally you can just add a Mercenaries mode and add in every character ever and do speed runs if they wanted to.I agree and also I agree devs saying it hard make horror game around Leon because they guy is way too experienced to be scare of anything.
I would think because of the heavy rumor milling about Leon being the main character. He worded it oddly. He said 'making a horror game based around Leon is difficult...so he's a bad match for horror'
They specifically mention Leon (out of nowhere), not Chris or anyone else, say this, and then leave it be. I could be reading into it too much, but if they really wanted this to be just about Ashcroft, they would have just kept the topic on Ashcroft, like they did for Ethan in 7.
From the footage they shown the 3rd person looked great and unlike RE8 they designing the game around the two camera perspective in mind instead of after thought update in RE8.My main concern with RE9 is that it has the dual perspective option - but what perspective was it truly designed for? My guess is 1st person which is not encouraging to me. I would rather Resident Evil be a third person experience and designed with that in mind. Guess we will see in time.
Mercs, Outbreak, and Raid mode. All 3 missed potential for multiplayer RE.Well yes using Leon pretty much means they need to make an action game like 4. I liked the direction of VII and Village, personally. With remakes in between.
Its kind of baffling Capcom never really capitalized on Mercs though. They can expand Reunion or RE4R Mercs to stand alone games, and offer MTX and map packs for those.
I gotta think he has to be in it at some point. Do you really make a game going back to raccoon city without Leon. That would anger alot of fans. But I get not including him. Including one of the main characters kind of will take the suspense away when you know they will likely survive. And I don't think you can include Leon and only have him as a minor role in the game. You kind of have to go all in with him or not at all. Atleast I think so.He worded it oddly. He said 'making a horror game based around Leon is difficult...so he's a bad match for horror'

Leon Separate Ways DLC. Look forward to it.I gotta think he has to be in it at some point. Do you really make a game going back to raccoon city without Leon. That would anger alot of fans. Perhaps. I can't think of a game off hand that feels great in both perspectives for me personally. From the footage they shown the 3rd person looked great and unlike RE8 they designing the game around the two camera perspective in mind instead of after thought update in RE8.

My bet is still on a dual campaign, DLC campaign, or an unlockable campaign (which would be a good twist).I gotta think he has to be in it at some point. Because usually those games like Bethesda games were made with FPS perspective in mind and third person was just afterthought optionPerhaps. I can't think of a game off hand that feels great in both perspectives for me personally.
Yeah not doing thatToo bad it requires a Capcom ID
Exactly. Games are typically designed with one perspective in mind and the other is an optional or situational perspective.Because usually those games like Bethesda games were made with FPS perspective in mind and third person was just afterthought option
But with RE9 one of the key point they advertising is the two perspectives so I trust Capcom they are know what they doing.
