Finally some bad news about this god awful game. The biggest disappointment of this generation, and it's not even close. Get fucked Capcom. You wanted to please tourists with your mobile brained MH, you got it.

I am still mad😥

I'm glad that people are starting to slowly realize how big of a fucking joke Capcom has become

They can fuck off with their poorly optimized mtx loaded trash

Theyve had hit after hit since RE Engine came......Wilds and DD2 being outliers .......why are they a joke?

I don't consider them as a joke, but releasing Exoprimal is the definition is not being capable of reading the room. There's that other Japanese themed game that came out not too long ago (always forgetting the name of that thing) that nobody bought. And if Pragmata is like what was shown, you know, having to do dumb puzzles on every enemy, this game is gonna bomb hard af.

All of the Capcom cooming was way too preemptive. It was based mainly on remakes, ports, and FINALLY not having a handheld or anemic console to shackle Monster Hunter to.

Other than the heavily requested action of simply releasing a new Dino Crisis, what would be your ideal, but realistic, vision for a modern day Capcom?

If they have a storefront, hopefully they go bankrupt. If not, I'm sorry for them. I don't know the game.

I wanted DD2 for like ten years before they announced it. It came out, and was so disappointing that i lost all hope in the team in charge, and don't want them to touch this IP again. Same with Onimusha, wanted them to reboot for over 10 years, and they're finally doing it, so very interested in that, and hope it doesn't suck (but then you compare its combat to Phantom Blade and oof). I want DMC6. Where is DMC6? They should be pumping these as often as MH titles. Wouldn't mind Dino Crisis reboot, but i prefer Resi, so meh, i just want RE to be good, not like the garbagio RE8. MH needs to be MH, not the mobile garbage on autopilot we got with Wilds. The team in charge doesn't understand how to evolve social features in a game that might as well be considered as a party game. Completely useless, super disappoited with them after Wilds launch, and it's barebones free updates.

They could've rebooted Lost Planet into something less arcadey, i wouldn't mind that. Other than that, new ip's focused on melee combat is what i want to see from Capcom, and they ain't making shiet.

So you want the following:
  • DMC 6
  • RE 9 to be good
  • Lost Planet Reboot
  • MH to go back to World's formula? Or a new Rise? (Older MH is dead and buried so that's unrealistic)
  • Evolved social features
  • New I.P. be melee focused instead of shooter-focused (did Kunitsugami count towards this?)
4 out of 6 of these seem very possible. Other than performance work, what would Wilds need (realistically) to help it out?

Wilds has arguably the worst story in modern gaming

I gave up almost immediately it was so bad

despite that, Capcom thinks the initial success of MH Wilds was the story

these people are beyond help

They should've skipped MHW and put that effort into more Dragon's Dogma 2 content.
You would think so but no they used DD2's bones to build the foundation of Wilds on RE Engine with a story on par with Metroid Other M. Alongside using an engine notorious for not playing nice with sandbox games and rushing both games out the door to push up numbers for their fiscal year report.

And they will do it again with RE9. Very sad.

I guess I can't be one to speak, because in my opinion the only MH story that has seemed enticing to me so far has been what I've seen from MH Stories 1 and 2.

I just think the whole 'heroic shonen anime' feeling fits MH moreso than whatever Worlds and Wilds is doing.

MH Wilds has too many problems

-Streamline core MH mechanics for mass audience.
-Big useless map with auto pathing system that discourage the world exploration. Map also ridden with hidden bullshit paths that looks barren and uninteresting that makes the traversal sluggish and chore.
-Graphically looks like a giant mess thanks to the unnecessary techs that nobody was asking for that subsequently put a huge strain on hardware performance.
-Handholding aka walking simulator for the most part during story mode combines with the worst ever story in existence.
-Shitty post game content with stupid rng Artian weapons.

Rise 2 will save us from AAAA mediocrity

MH Stories I would consider a good Pokemon game. Fight Monster with Monster and train your own monsters. Very nice premise.

MH's best story arguably was MH4 and even then the story was focused around Gore Magala and Apex Monsters and not whatever Wilds was supposed to be.

Not long ago, literally maybe less than a year, CAPCOM was still considered the GOAT. Didn't they even increase salaries by like 30% too? This shows how volatile this industry is
sure, but this didn't happen overnight

people have been calling them on their BS for months now

From March:

Capcom Remains The King Of Scummy Microtransactions

World's formula is fine with me, i just don't want it to be guided. Scoutflies must be deleted from the game. I want the hunt to begin, the whole team splits, searches for the monster, uses a paintball, and everyone reassembles for the fight.

Kunitsugami is absolutely not what i want. I would love to see Capcom take on the souls formula (yes, people are tired of them, but not i, and i will never get bored of these if done correctly). My issue with Capcom, and the reason why they might not be able to make a good souls-like, is that i feel like they're not capable of creating a world/levels that are interesting to explore, and without exploration, to me, souls likes are nothing.

As for what i'd like to see Wilds... literally everything. To me, this game launched empty. There's nothing in this game. I have done everything so quickly that it felt like i didn't even played the game, and this is just unacceptable in a title that is fully focused on grinding. What pisses me off the most in the MH community are people defending the most recent release by saying how "this is how it always was, so we must accept a dissapointing X". For example, no endgame, no long term goals, no challenge. If this is how the previous titles were, and this franchise is 21 years old, how the fuck haven't they learned their lesson? This pisses me off so much lol. I want to play the game, but i can't because there's nothing to play, and before i stopped, i've already farmed everything for no other reason than fun because there were no goals, or anything left. I don't want to wait an addtional two years, pay $50 for the dlc to have challenging content. Since when is this acceptable in a video game? The bullshit this community got conditioned of accepting is ruining the IP. There's absolutely zero reasons why a MH title couldn't release not 1, not 2, but like three fights on par with Fatalis, and on day one. It's not like Capcom is an indie studio, and if you give people challenging fights, i don't know about most, but if it's hard, at least i won't fall asleep, and that will make me log in. But whatever, the MH team sux as much as DD2's team.

Capcom has fooled themselves into thinking Monster Hunter is Pokemon.

They think people will eat whatever slop they put out, so they made a game too casual for the hardcore fans and too barren for World fans.

I really hope that it's true, because the amount of conditioning the MH community has gotten into accepting bullshit over the years is insane. So much so that the launch of a new game being disappointing is literally expected. Holy fuck.
