Should I be impressed that the cg quality is almost the same, or should I be disappointed for that very reason?

You should be disappointed that Marvel themselves didn't do this and simultaneously give Spiderman a fantastic personality and keep him a true joker.

Only youngin spider worth a damn

She better be in Spidey 2017 (or Captain Marvel, considering she side kicked for Carol around Civil War/Dark Reign).

I ahte to say it, but Miles is Garbage with a capital G. Dude has zero agency, 99% of the time shit goes down and he is stuck there with a "Whaaaattttt" look on his face.

Thank God Pete left Hobie with the keys to the city.

Hey, I haven't kept up with whichever Avenger book is carrying The Maker with it, but how has he turned out in the post Secret War's era?

He showed up in the first issue of New Avengers but he's coming back again soon. He hasn't done much of note.

imo
All the Avengers books are boring. Most team books are trash compared to Pre-SW Marvel and Ultimates might the only major team book worth a damn for art alone. On Ultimates, Ewing insists on throwing these interesting ideas in my face and setting up a really interesting team (sans Carol) but Ewing isn't making them be interesting and he isn't making them DO anything interesting. Everything falls flat. Nothing meshes well.

Ewing is reviving Thanos so at least I have an incentive to keep going.

I mean, we all know what other "animal" linked character we need next. Especially since Thanos is the keystone of the MCU, and we need the only character who can beat him:

They just played the trailer on the Teen Choice Awards(?) on Nickelodeon.

There were a couple seconds of new footage with Agent 13 kicking someone and Crossbones doing something. At least I think they were new scenes. I dunno. I haven't watched the actual trailer recently.

edit: yeah, they replaced the scene where Winter Soldier tries to shoot Stark in the face with those scenes. That seems right.

They had an opportunity to bring best love interest back after Secret Wars and decided to go in another direction.

(And then ASM's sales decided to go in another direction too.)
MJ has always been one of the worst things about Spider-Man tbh, the book has improved in her absence.

Spiderman is my favorite comic book super hero. I am so incredibly happy that the character will finally get a proper movie appearance. I thought Toby Maguire's spiderman was pretty good for its time, but Andrew Garfield's spiderman was terrible. Nothing against the actor, just a horrible portrayal of the character, and an awful movie in general.
