I'd love it if Bucky never lands a hit on Panther the entire film. Every encounter is "This time I'll..." Nope. Panther already tossed him into the trash bin.

Stan Lee literally wanted relationship drama to be front and center in the book. If anything, going away from that has been holding the book back.

Moving away from his original intentions improved everything. His relationship drama with NYC, his adversaries, and other heroes has always been far better.

Is that Pietro in that suspension tank?...

Man, wonder if they are really making Tony take on the Reed Richards element of super-jailor (with the raft) and now...experimentation?

Oh shit did not see that...probably a major source of conflict and why scarlet witch is on Cap's side.

The hair does look light-colored, but that could just be the color of the glass

If it's experimentation I'm guessing that it has something to do with Zenmo. We know nothing about what he's supposed to be doing.

I forgot he was even in the movie.

It seems someone is using Bucky again, so it might be him. The Crossbones incident early on in the movie might directly involve him as well.

Between Barnes shooting Tony, Agent 13 attacking him,
Cap fighting Bucky in that same scene (from behind-the-scene footage),
and Bucky having the same outfit as the "Do you remember me" scene/Ant Man post credit scene

I think he's definitely being controlled/brain-washed to attack

You're actually trying to assert that writers can't improve on the original author's work? Good lord, how absurd.

edit: Guys, it's Bucky in the tank.

So Cap's there to bust him out?

Iron Man's got the same bruise under his eye that he does at the airfield, so this probably happens after that fight, which apparently happens after Rhodey goes down.

Spider-Man looks pretty big but I bet thats because there is no other person standing directly next to him. Hopefully he'll look like a little high schooler next to everyone else.

I just assumed it was bucky clones. Hell the one you see coming out of the chamber I just assumed it was a clone. I mean, Bucky is out, why would he be back in that chamber (I guess it could be a flashback).

But then again why would clones also have the metal arm >_>

What other super would they keep in that tank? Is Zemo working with our government, thus explaining why our prison facility would use equipment that seems like the kind he'd use?

Is that an Inhuman in there?

edit: Why are we going with clones?

Depends on who owns the tanks. For all we know it could be a Hydra facility.

Doesn't look like anyone inside the tank? The shape seems to be an empty chair?

Either a flashback, or Cap/Buck using the facility to repair Bucky as he was damaged and in pain.

That isn't what I said.

Getting away from the interpersonal stuff is getting away from the core of what Spider-Man should be. We should care about the supporting cast and what happens to them as much as we care about Peter's adventures. Otherwise Spider-Man becomes just another superhero.

That looks like the HYDRA facility from the opening of the trailer-so other than Bucky who would HYDRA have hooked up in there?

True, but then why would Tony be in the middle of a Hydra facility stopping Cap & Bucky from doing whatever they're doing? Not to say that couldn't be the case - is Tony so gung ho about ops going through the government first that he'd actually break into a Hydra base simply to stop Cap & Bucky from doing something ultimately worthwhile JUST because it's not officially approved?

I can see it!

Why not clones?

But why clones

Like, seriously. Why.

Clones.

Someone's definitely there. You can see the arms and the face has some kind of breathing apparatus
I re-watched it at 1080p (youtube is super lossy tho) and it still just looks like an empty chair. The face may be just a headrest with possible brainwashing apparatus.

My own theory:
- They went to facility mid-story to repair Bucky
- An angry Iron Man dropped by
- They surrounded him, Bucky pointing gun at Stark from behind (in trailer it is before Warmachine got shot)
- Cap tries to talk it over, gets backhanded (tho Stark's face was exposed when he swung, yet fully masked when Cap flew, so this is iffy)
- A surprised Bucky repositions with gun poised
