Any confirmation/source on that? Don't have a ps3, but really wanting to try out the demo.

Yeah, David Cox confirmed it last week on his twitter...

Another review score is out, this one from PSM3 UK, 94%.
  • PSM3 94%
  • Edge 8/10
  • GamesTM 8/10
  • OXM UK 9/10
  • OPM UK 9/10
  • GamesMaster 94%
  • Xbox World 360 90%+
  • Games Aktuell 83%

Is it me, or is Konami trying desperatly to sell it to Europeans... and forget about the rest of the world?

Europe gets First crack at the demo.
Every review right now comes from europe?

What's up with that?

I think it's just a difference of opinion as to what constitutes 'cheese'. Even the cinematic Lord of the Rings trilogy, which was as straight-faced and sincere as they come, was amazingly cheeseball in parts, albeit unintentionally.

Like Gandalf sitting with Frodo, smoking the "finest weed" in the valley. :lol

Smeehh. I have not played the demo, so I can't comment on the english VA, but the TGS trailer really impressed me. It had that Kojima quality to it.

But seriously people, if you think about it, lots of games with great stories/va/writing has cheesy/corny/derp derp delivery. Same with films. The Joker overacts completely in The Dark Knight. But so what? Its still fucking awesome. Small flaws in the shakespearean-perfectionism is sometimes more awesome. It's goddam placebo if anyone thinks that even the best of films are constantly able to hit the perfect balance of overacting/underacting and the complete correct tone of delivery.
It's like saying a game is repetitive because YOU didn't enjoyed it. It's one of those words that takes the form of many negative meanings, and has ended up like a catchphrase just like repetitive, and overhyped, that people just swing out there.

I doubt that it's the only reason.

No, dude it's fucking made by Europeans. Lots of European made games still get released in the states before anywhere else.

Has anyone been able to find the demo on the US PSN?

Nah, I don't think anyone was outright lying about it, I just think there has been some confusion and serious facts-smashing. Basically, a clusterfuck of supreme stupidity.

Resurrecting my thread since the demo is now available for everybody.

If some mods read this, please edit the thread title to read: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DEMO Impressions Thread of Cross-Whipping Wargs

Edited OP to include those tidbits.

I am sure anyone interested can make a EU account and download this. The US delay makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Everyone should have one anyway.

invest <5 minutes each to create:

- 1x US account
- 1x UK account
- 1x JP account

(if one of those isn't already your main account)

I have them on automatic login and named the PS3 accounts according to the respective country (+ gave them their flag as the icon). Feels almost like an international store in which I simply switch between regions.
From this point on you can download anything as soon as it's available in one of the regions (not counting PSN+).
Even (region exclusive) PSN games if you buy a PSN card for each region (e.g. via ebay and get the codes sent to you via email).

Sadly, you will have to buy the DLC of the region you bought the game from.
