CFB Week 13: This months reading assignment: No More Prisons

Well it's more the Alabama BoT forcing UAB to drop football.

I hope the committee doesn't rank them this week for almost losing to UAB. A dead program walkin.

And UCF went final vs. SMU. 53-7. And that was with it raining all game.

Well if UAB gets bowl eligible, it would be cool if they were invited to play in the first annual Birmingham bowl game. That bowl game will be the only CFB Birmingham residents can look forward to each year :/

Thanks O-Bama

UAB is dropping football??

Hopefully they beat Southern Miss next week to become bowl eligible

Alabama BOT won't give the team a chance to succeed. Seriously, they were a stadium away. Didn't need to be great, just something nice, safe, clean and on campus like Ohio's. UAB is indeed rumored (pretty much confirmed) to be killed by Alabama's leadership, anyway.

The kids came out and played HARD for their last game. ALMOST wish they would have pulled it off. Anyway, they will be heavily favored against So. Miss, so I think they'll pull it off and go to a bowl!

Yes I want them to get bowl eligible. But Birmingham this year is AAC vs. SEC. Unless SEC can't fill in enough teams.

He has survived way worse. They are still a ranked team this late in the season. My bet is he will still be the coach next year

Also, fan attendance hasn't wavered. Most consecutive sellouts in the country.

Yeah but that was during his like grace period. We're gonna have 9-4 season, and embarrassing bowl loss, and more.

Attendance means nothing at Nebraska in terms of coach popularity or approval. It didn't waiver during the Callahan dark ages nor Solich's mediocrity during the end of his term, and it won't waiver now, but the seat is hot for Pelini and his assistants need fucking dumped.

Please ESPN, what is so impressive about FSU's opening drive? If anything, 14 plays/75 yards against a ACC bottom dweller is pretty disappointing if you ask me.

Man, half the games today so far are great for all the wrong reasons, Comedy gold

For instance: the VT game, have eyes ever bleed more. If football was ever a virus that could kill 90% of its infectees, this would be the strain.

AND apparently Cupcakes are better than every SEC opponent Alabama has faced this season. Only team to score on the first drive against Alabama this season goes to......Western Carolina

Scored more TD's than Texas A&M in the entire game and Miss State didn't get a TD till the 4th quarter.

This game is not starting well for Alabama, man too soon to call but boy would I love an Appalachian State type upset. (obviously won't happen, a man can dream tho)

AND IN UNRELATED NEWS: Melvin Gordens record is broken already

Actually, part of the reason for firing Callahan was a serious softening in ticket sales. We like to think that we'll sellout forever but it's come close before and if this continues we'll see the streak end. We've already lost most of a generation of young Nebraskans and the apathy has spread pretty far throughout the fan base.

That said, he won't be fired unless he loses to Iowa as well and even then it's incredibly unlikely. Eichorst will likely see a lot of pressure from donors for SOME staff change though. Whether or not Bo brings in some new blood will likely decide whether or not he's fired with a similar performance next year.

Firing your coach the same year as Michigan and Florida is a bad idea if you can avoid it.
