Firing your coach the same year as Michigan and Florida is a bad idea if you can avoid it.

No doubt but if we did fire Pelini (we won't) we probably wouldn't be competing for the same head coaches as those two programs. We'll probably go after some HC at a small time program so that we can say we got someone with Head Coaching experience this time. Michigan, and to a lesser extent Florida, aren't going to be looking at many of those guys unless their first 4-5 choices fall through. The ultimate irony would be if we gave Solich or Craig Bohl looks for the position. Bohl has seen a lot of success as a head coach after all.
