CFB Week 2: Everyone Exposed but Idaho (and UCF, but they got Sandusky'd)

To be fair, Oregon State and Washington have the least and 2nd least national championships in the Pac 12 (combined team and individual) but we still include them in the "conference of champions".

Also, WTF? Colorado doesn't play baseball?

Two national titles in the only sport that matters!

Not that I think we're that great, but Ohio State drops three spots while teams like Alabama stay the same? lol polls.

Funnier to me that Stanford dropped two spots despite not only shutting out their (admittedly weak) opponent, but not even letting them past midfield until the last play of the game.

Weird so, indeed. Definitely didn't do anything but exactly what they were supposed to. Too bad they aren't SEC right now, lol.

The worst ranking is ole miss. I follow them and they seem to have risen in the rankings the past year based on one recruiting class and pretty much only beating teams they should.

The strength of that loss on Saturday got West Virginia invited to the Big XII 3 years ago.

If any game could alter the space time continuum, it was this past Saturday's spirited contest between a national power and by the transitive property, one of the best teams to ever put on pads.

I wouldn't say that we're "one of the best teams to ever put on pads," but I think we gave a good accounting of ourselves against that national power known as the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Like Florida St, last week's performance was an aberration and I should be back on form starting this week.

You picking Va Tech makes my head hurt. They are the original team to Clempson. Really, Clempson is the new Xerox U.

Ohio State wants fans to snitch on fans that cuss, are drunk, misbehave, or don't sit during game play. :jnc

Good to know that this occurs everywhere.

Are there stadiums in America that don't have some sort of tip line? In any sport?

I was talking more about calling the police for someone that won't sit down. At a sporting event. That they're ostensibly at to cheer on their team.

Alabama beat a great West Virginia team. A West Virginia team that steamrolled Oklahoma State. The very same Oklahoma State team that took Florida State to seven overtimes this past Saturday.
I don't remember losing to West Virginia last season.

People tell me we lost but all I remember is booze and sadness.

Nah, they adjusted their defensive gameplan and noodle arm couldn't do shit. We had one first down in the second half. I don't blame the defense for finally getting worn out in the 4th quarter in hot ass Athens.

It was hot there, but no hotter than at Clemson where they practice. Or was Clemson spending all their time conditioning in the indoor practice facility there? I guess one plus to not having one is that the temptation to do that on hot days isn't there, so the players have to practice anyway.

Watson looked pretty good, but he probably only knows a few plays. Playing that position on the road with little experience is hard to do. And yeah, noodle arm looked pretty bad once our DL started whipping Clemson's OL and getting to him. Was pretty interesting to see Pruitt line up guys all over the place. Leonard Floyd (OLB) lined up at ILB sometimes, nose, and of course OLB. And they had a DB playing inside linebacker for a few plays. That has to be confusing for an offense to watch and identify who is who.

I'm more worried about the heat at 3:30 in Columbia next Saturday. That place makes Athens seem like Alaska in the winter.

Well I'm assuming the defense got more breaks during practice than they got in the 2nd half of last weekend's game.

You guys and your cold stadiums. Nowhere is hotter and more oppressive than Gainesville in August and September.

I don't know, Clemson's defense was letting Gurley and Chubb score so fast that they probably still had a lot of energy. Being facetious here, Clemson was worn out, it was obvious on those runs. I think that's more from what Georgia's OL did to them in the first half. They were exhausted.

I'll take your word for it since Georgia won't ever have to play there. :p

Tallahassee is worse, trust me (though not by much). I've lived both here and in Gainesville. Because of our location in the panhandle, we get basically no ocean breeze, and the gulf also traps storm systems over the city. Tallahassee is typically one of the hottest / most humid cities in Florida in the summer despite being basically as far north as you can be in Florida. It's also one of the coldest cities in Florida in the winter.

I think Stanford dropped due to not having amazing numbers, but I feel like they likely played things close to the vest.

We can all agree that UCLA deserved to drop though.

I did not know this. So, don't visit in the summer, got it.

Apparently lsu Wisconsin was another game of the century. guy's a fucking idiot and he should be berated on Twitter.

The Jags are now a sponsor of the Citronauts. They're not going anywhere anymore.

Miami is slowly dying due to their administration not giving a crap. These ACC rumors are legit. We'll take Miami's slot once they fold.

$9.95 for more.

Jesus. Did this guy actually watch the Wisconsin-LSU game? I find it hard to believe anyone watched that game and said "wow, these are two of the best teams in the country"
