10 years? damn.

shit blew my mind as an 11 yo. i remember trying to make my folks stay up to watch it...god knows why because i had never heard of Chappelle at the time.

first episode is going...and i'm thinking "yeah this is alright...but it's gonna get cancelled" and then Clayton Bigsby, in the FIRST episode. and i knew it was going to be a legendary show.

it holds up so well for me. i still laugh at just the thought of "she wears the underwear w/ the dickholes in em"

Favorite 5 skits
Tron on Law and Order (white people's justice system)
Mad Real World
Making the Band
The Time Haters
And 1 sports

Favorite Performances
Common & Ye - The Food - the studio version is so tame compared to the live on Chappelle version they put on the album
Black Star - What's Beef
Wyclef - If I Was President - its weird to hear it in Obama's America.
Kanye, Freeway & Mos Def - Two Words - it looked cold as fuck on that building lol.

GraveHorizon

poop meter feature creep
I remember that nobody laughed at the Elián González joke in the Racial Draft sketch, which bummed me out because I can't stand when the audience doesn't laugh at jokes that aren't terrible. I didn't laugh even though I got it, but they should have.

A lot of other sketches I find hilarious. Wayne Brady's Training Day, Tyrone Bigguns Fear Factor, Black White Supremacist, MTV Cribs in the Hollywood sketch, Trading Spouses.
All of them have gotten real old for me because I've seen them all so many times, so every joke has been run into the ground.

Data West

coaches in the WNBA
Richard Pryor said he passed the torch to Dave, and I completely agree with him. It's probably why they're both my favorite comedians.

One of the best ever. Those two series are full of absolutely classic sketches and it's such a shame that it all ended like it did and never happened again. He was a fucking phenomenal stand up and the shows were brilliant.
10 years? That's fucked up.

I also loved the Munsters sketch, which I think was on the lost episodes...

"Can't handle a strong black man in the world place!"

"Nigga, you's a Frankenstein."

hahaha

Insane that it's been a decade since this amazing show premièred. There wasn't an episode that I didn't enjoy. I'm still a bit disappointed with the whole cancellation situation, but that ship has longed sailed at this point.

4 pages and still some of my favorites not mentioned.

The Niggers (Dave as the milk man having a blast calling the family by that name).
Ribs
The Sex Contract (and initial there if you refuse anal, unless.....)
Reparations

Diversify yo bonds

FUCK NICK CANNON!!!

Kinda hit or miss for me. Some skits I found too dumb, but then for the most part I was actually crying of laughter.
This and Ali G in da USA were generally amazing and it's probably for the best that they were so short, even if it hurts. :( Too many shows were run into the ground.

IT'LL MAKE YOU DRUNK!
YOU'LL BE FUCKING FAT CHICKS IN NO TIME! YOU MIGHT EVEN FIGHT A NI**A OR TWO!

MMMMMHHHH MMMMMMMHHHHHH. BIIIIITCH!

_________

But also his random ramblings in between skits was just off the hook:

I seen R.Kelly in Chicago....he's mad at me.

Ain't no Punchline to that.. that ni**a is mad.

"How you can make a video about peeing on somebody?"
Ni**a how you can make a video about peeing on somebody?!

This is a good ass anniversary thread.

WHY YOU AIN'T TELL ME THEY HAD SUCH A GOOD ASS ANNIVERSARY THREAD? *slaps somebody*

This was such a fucking phenomenon when I was in high school. If you walked up to anybody and shouted "Oh shit, it's Wayne Brady" or "It's James, the n*gga hatin' dolphin!", chances are you cleared out the are with how quick everyone got the reference and improv'd. :lol

Edit: The greatest moment within a skit just because of it's execution was the Black Bush "Oil" interview. I still quote that to this day.

The popcopy sketch and the tupac song were my favorites. I remember people quoting that all day in high school. randomly in the middle of class "it might be DOO-DOO"

Wow 10 years already , really loved that show and smh at me having cable vision or whatever cheap cable I had that didn't have comedy central :/ missed all of them when they premiered.

Own both DVD sets and still watch them to this day, Tyrone always makes me lol

"your welcome ms teacher bitch" haha

The player haters ball was classic

"now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna home and put some water in buck nasty mamas dish" gfdnkyfv

Not attempted murder, he shot below the knees, lol the world series of dice

By far the best sketch comedy show.(for me)

I've been pointed to tons of other sketch shows, and I've gone through a whole bunch of them but none of them do it for me.

Bitch you fuckin O.J?

I bought this baby cash

The first time I saw this, tears streamed out of my eyes. I was on the floor convulsing. I don't think anything else in the show ever got me that bad.

This show was the main topic of conversation among my circle of friends in high school. One of the funniest TV shows ever. The whole Rick James skit was run into the ground after about a week. We milked that one pretty quick.

From the "Wife Swap" skit:

"G-g-g-g-g Unit!"

"G-g-g-g-goodbye!"

We got all the greatest nations in the world on our side. Japan makes our playstations. Stankonia too.....don't remember the quote lol.
