Holy crap, where do they come up with this stuff? :lol

I was watching the 1973 Superstars episode and I was dying. Superstars is like Battle of the Network Stars but with retired or over the hill athletes. They had Joe Frazier, Johnny Bench, Elvin Hayes, and Johnny Unitas. Joe Frazier almost drowned in the swimming event, and Johnny Bench ended up quitting (I don't mean just not trying, I mean just walking off ) in like 90% of the events :lol

Here's a clip from this episode, Mean Joe Frazier :(

I started getting ESPN Classic about a month ago, and have fallen in love with this show. One of the better episodes was International Championship Wrestling. My Steelers bias is not showing through here at all(two of the jokes made were "Hey, it's Count Franco Harris" and "The Australian Bill Cowher!"), it's just damned funny.

Also great was the Roller Derby episode and the spelling bees. Good stuff. At times cheesy, but generally a good waste of a half hour.

edit: I completely forgot about the episode they aired last week. It's listed as "Wide World 4" on the website, and was half lumberjack competition, half "Cycloball". Now, not to spoil too much for those who haven't seen it, Cycloball is a clip from a mid-50's matchup between two eastern european countries. They were playing soccer while riding around on bicycles. Seriously. You don't even need people to make fun of that, just watching it will damn near make you lose bladder control.
