what's up with kids looking like they are in their early 20s with north face fleeces begging for money downtown? the fleeces do look a little dirty, but...wtf mang
and getting off and on 94, there are these hippy looking people who beg for change too.
i've seen gutterpunks, but this is a different breed.
It's my last day in town. Someone come join me for day drinking. I'm at Goose Island right now.
Oh come on, what's stopping you? This cask Inspiration IPA is so very good.Man, wish I could.
Hey guys, I was hoping if someone could help me here. I need to be in downtown on May 19 to take the MCAT. I know the NATO crap is going to be going on. All this talk about closed streets is confusing the crap out of me, and it seems to change based on the source. I know it's going to be closed from Balbo to 39th, but I'm taking the test at 20 N Clark, which is a few streets before there. Does anyone know if there are going to be any protests blocking the streets around there? I need to park near there too.
The train would take me right into the heart of the protest, if there are any, which is my question. I know Emmanuel has moved the big one to Grant park, apprently, but I'm unsure if they're planned for the 19th or the 20th, because the summit is on the 20-21.Take the train.

At Daley Plaza on May 19? Sorry for being so specific, but Emmanuel seems really serious about keeping the heart of downtown open.Occupy Chicago says they plan a week of protests.
Anyone familiar with the west side give me suggestions for getting up on the abandoned elevated path/bridge thing at around 2000 N that runs parallel to like Churchhill/Bloomingdale/cortland? I see fuckers running up there but never know the best place to get up.
They're stairs you can take to get up on Damen by north ave. A cross the street from RSVP Gallery. Its a pretty sweet path.
yeah im out too, they dont want any military members (in uniform or not) anywhere near downtown Chicago.
Meh, I might be out for Saturday.
Anyone want to reschedule for a Saturday during the afternoon so we can enjoy the fine Chicago weather?
Free of anarchists, protesters and heightened security?
I realized I was unhelpfully vague previously, but I'm hoping someone can still help me out.
Specifically, I'm looking for roommates. Hoping to spend ~$500 a month on rent. The important thing to me is access to public transportation because I will not have a car. The closer to Near North Side, the better.
Any suggestions?
Anyone been to the hole in the wall 'Oasis' in the jewelry store?
Stupid Avengers had me going there so many times this week and last haha.
For summer sublets? Lincoln Park near DePaul.
Honestly that's all I can think of for summer sublets.
Hyde Park is cheap.
ChitownGAF you ready to welcome me to your ranks? Moving in two months
