Child Abuse Scandal in UK grows to implicate MPs, celebs - Update Posts #900/#1100

So they sent a news crew round one of our local hosptials yesterday where he is accused of molesting terminally ill children, apparently the nurses used to tell the children to fake being asleep when he came.
Now im sorry but anyone and i mean ANYONE who knew what he was doing and let it slide, especially someone in charge of caring for the children, should serve time in prison, if the allegations are true. I cannot fathom, it literally does not compute in my head that someone would know this is happening and do nothing, i would argue they are monsters the same. If i had that on my conscience, if i sat by and knew it was happening and did nothing i really dont think i could live with myself.

That was the rumour that was doing the rounds in British showbiz BEFORE he died. It was said that he was a really evil fuck with a particularly sadistic side.
It's said that he was also connected to organised crime in London.
Apparently the stories about his traveling to an orphanage in Jersey are just the tip of that particular nightmare inducing iceberg.
All in all a thoroughly loathsome fuck.
That clip in the louis doc where hes talking to the cameraman about how he got carte blanche from the police when kidnapping and assaulting people in his clubs is scary shit. The only side of him in that doc that felt genuine, creepy creepy man.

Turns out it's the Jersey Orphanage where those bodies were found and an investigation that was knocked on the head a few years ago?
He was linked to it and sent an army of lawyers out to fight...that's the main reason he was never reported on...UK libel laws!

Yes, I personally believe that he was / is guilty and extremely lucky to avoid prosecution.
That's right. Apparently he denied he had ever set foot on Jersey never mind been to the orphanage and the whole thing went away.
Then, from nowhere, a picture popped up of him at the orphanage posing with the kids turned up.

I absolutely agree. I read a story about him abusing a young girl with brain damage while I nurse was in the next bed or a bed in the same room due to having undergone surgery but she apparently did nothing.
there's absolutely no legitimate reason for them to have not raised the alarm when they first saw the abuse take place.

I think some of these cases are probably just attention-seeking. I can understand why the victims were too intimidated to complain but if you're an adult and you see someone doing that to a sick child you either call the police or give them an epic kicking.
Daily Mail lead story online now (but not their front page tomorrow) is about how John Peel had a three month long affair with a 15 year old girl and got her pregnant. She's come forward after all the related BBC allegations along with a postcard he wrote to her when she contacted him some 30 years late.

Oh don't get me wrong, there was definitely child abuse but IIRC there were no bodies found. It wasn't the case many people think it was.
One "skull fragment" that a lot of their investigation hinged on, was ultimately found out to be part of a coconut, as confirmed by Kew Gardens.

If there's anything the above string of posts indicates, it is that the speculation around super-injunctions can harm the reputations of potentially innocent people due to the inherent speculation of them. That's ignoring the moral and ethical problems with them.
