But but those are internal affairs, you can't criticise those!

(tbh, the world is pretty much a globalised village, by buying stuff you also more or less condone the whole production and distribution process/countries involved with it) .
The parenthesis is the truth. We raise our environmental and labor standards and then just buy cheap crap from other countries that violate any respectable environmental and labor standards. (Dumping Chemicals in rivers, child labor, prison labor, etc.)

China has finally started to improve their standards though. They executed people involved in that tainted milk disaster. They've cut down on creating massively polluting factories. And they are downright leaders in green energy (wind, solar, EVs, etc.) A bit more leaning on them and they should reform further.

If this ship breaks open, there could be a massive world-wide back-lash against China.

Yeah, if only there was a medley of nuclear chemicals on board instead.
Those also ship from Australia to China. However, nuclear materials are much more dense and thus don't need such big massive ships. Hopefully they are shipped with MUCH more safeguards (they are a terrorist risk).

I'm sure it's just a cultural misunderstanding. Outsiders with no understanding of the Chinese concept of honor and filial piety can not hope to comprehend the struggles that the Chinese population undergoes every time they must steer an oil tanker.

The rest of the world should really start giving the Chinese government and industry the evil eye.
They cruelly kill and eat just about any animal, try to get away with vile chemicals in their milk and other foods, pay their factory workers subhuman wages, the list goes on...
Their fishing boats often invade Philippine and Vietnamese waters as well and poach fish and other marine life.

Was just watching a program about The Giant Manta rays that breed off the coast of Africa, apparantly their being hunted to extinction because of the demand from the chinese market for another bullshit 'cure' certain parts of them have. OK Islam, you've had your day, time for a new bogeyman for the West. BOOO HISS YOU CHINESE BASTARDS!!! (but ppsst...keep those cheap electronic tech coming kthxbye).
