Theater is so fucking stupid. Not sure why people waste so much money to watch terrible overacting that was outdated about 100 years ago.
That said, this is better than every play I've ever seen because Walken is giving a performance for the ages.
Better than paying money to watch a bunch of people stand around and scratch themselves like in Baseball lol.
That's why you sit home and watch it for free.

You need to see a good play. This, while entertaining, does not really fit that bill. What city are you in?
I'm not in a city. But I have an English degree, which was 50% reading plays and then watching them live (or recordings), and I couldn't stand a single one of them.
Well you're just flat-out weird then
Might be my favorite quote of the thread. Good on you sir.Alright guys when it comes time to clap ya'll just sit back and let us Americans handle it
I prefer subtlety. Theater has about zero subtlety in anything it does.

The intimacy and power of live theater is something that can't possibly be replicated on film.
Musical theater, for the most part, is garbage, especially these days when everything has to be a garish spectacle in order to be financially successful.
But straight-up non-musical theater can be downright mesmerizing when done right. The intimacy and power of live theater is something that can't possibly be replicated on film.
who was meowing?
Does Lion King count as musical theater? Because that was great.
