But, you don't know for sure

It's just common sense. Civ is primarily a PC game series so that’s where the bulk of the audience is for a new entry. The console version is more likely pull in a new audience rather than reduce the amount of PC players.

The more I play, the more empty it feels in terms of content and mechanics. The fact that the Information Age is missing is the most baffling for a supposedly v1.00.
Realistically, this will take at least a year of patches and a major expansion to be where it should have been on launch.

PS5 Pro also keeps crashing, particularly when you build a wonder.
I hope there is no atomic age. Why dilute the civs even further by adding an age? Just to add everyones least favorite part of previous civs? Yeah, that's a dlc i wont buy. The game itself doesnt feel incomplete without a 4th age

Yeah, probably. But i can't wait when Civ 7 will actually be more complete with content and patches.

I hate when I see an obvious typo in my post after the fact lol

Anyway, I agree. I’m curious to see if they get this where it needs to be. We’re looking at a couple years at least. This is the first Civ game I haven’t played at launch.

Seems like hating on a new civ games is kinda a tradition in Civ universe.

I'd say that Civ 2 is the only really legendary Civ game. It is also true that Call to Power was a very strong competitor to Civ 3, and it wasn't clear which side to come down on. Civ 4 is perhaps the most overrated Civ game and is remembered as a very strong game because it had some good expansions and mods. Civ 5 was better, but Civ 6 worse than Civ 5. You can read a lot of those comments out sarcastically today, but many of them had some valid complaints.

This game ain't half bad, actually after 3 games I can say that I do like the new system of changing civs to new ones with bonuses that suit you best in the next age. Some cool new mechanics there on other fronts, really like the new scout mechanic for superior exploration gameplay early on.
But man those official updates for UI fix can't come soon enough.

I'm waiting for a new patch which will fix many issues hopefully and maybe the game will have a higher approval on Steam.
Anyways here are some stats.

I’m going to have to eat some crow on this game. I bought it over the weekend and I’m nearing the end of the exploration age and I really love the age system. It is definitely a massive shakeup of the game, but it provides a soft reset of progress to squash snowballing, which is making the mid game so far really fun.

I might change my opinion after more time, but I’m liking this so far even though it is extremely not complete UI wise.

The stage is set for a mod or expansion that turns this game into Civ + Colonization (a super fun old school Sid Meier game that would never fly today lmao).
