The developer of Sudeki and MotoGP has announced that it wants to expand its workforce and is at work on PSP and DS games.
Moreover a PS3 game is in development at the Action studio in Solent and a Xbox360 title is in development at the Racing Studio in Brighton.

Moto GP Next-Gen, yay!

Oh boy did I enjoy Moto GP 1 on XBL.. never had the interest in buying Moto GP 2/3 though.. more of the same

:D :lol Yeah sorry if I forgot about the Revolution but at the moment it's more an unannounced product than anything else.

We've currently got dev kits for all the consoles, but Ninty still has nothing for us regarding the Revolution... which is very odd seeing as it seems that it's basically a Gamecube Turbo, I would have thought it would have been the first piece of kit to arrive!

You work at Climax?

Gamecube Turbo would've been a great name for Revolution. I like it better already!

Probably because, if what Nintendo says about the revolutionary controller is to be believed, games are going to need to be designed from the ground up with it in mind. And since they aren't done with the controller (so they also say), a devkit would be rather useless.

I assume also it's because the fundamental API is not changing...devs should be able to make a Revolution game with the ease they did Gamecube games.

That being said, I'm still scared that few, if any, seem to have one...

You can crack out a decent game in 4... sometimes 3 months.

Just look at the DS!

You're so right, I'm 100% certain that the bottleneck is their new controller. But the least they could do is have some piece of kit available without a controller, just so programmers can get their head around it. Otherwise, everything will have to be rushed by developers when the kits finally are released.

I'm not sure about them handing out kits without the controller, but the least they could do which they appear to have not (you as evidence), is let devs know what they'll be looking at in terms of tech specs and development tools. The lack of silence seems weird, as I think the longer Nintendo waits, the number of third party titles to hit revolution (at least at first)decreases. If companies don't know whether or not they'll be working on a revolution game 6 months from now, they can't budget for it.

Woohoo! Sudeki 2 for all platforms! :D

I'd love to have a Sudeki 2! I liked the first one and with all the flaws removed and an actual story/character design S2 could be a very good title.

Are you actually plannong on developing a Revolution game?

Any idea if third parties will be able to release good product at the launch of the system, if Nintendo keeps going down this route of silence much longer?

Get the artist that did the cover and some promotional art for the Japanese release of Sudeki back, that's for sure.

You should at least try moto gp 2.
It has different settings for realism; handling and bikes behaviour change so much you have to race in a completely different way

What's the point? We'll have PGR3, RR6, BO4, and NFS:MW; that particular genre is more than covered. I'm not saying no one else should be trying a racing game, but if they are, I hope for their sake that they're not looking at launching it directly alongside such competition. And even if it doesn't, it'll have a hard time outdoing those.

I think as gaming goes more and more "mainstream" you're going to see more and more racing/sports/licensed crap -- especially at launch.

First PSP...now 360...at the rate it's going, I predict no fewer than 19 racing titles at PS3's launch.

There's a reason why Nintendo never has leaks. I disagree with their policy but you can't deny that it has been an effective measure against leaks.

um, so? there are people who love the racing genre, just like there are those that love rpgs or shooters. you can never have too many good games in the genres you like.

and judging by the team who is working on it, it seems likely that it will be motorcycle racing, probably a new title in their xbox moto gp franchise.

awesome news.

I just have a little question for you, if you don't have a dev kit for the Revolution, how do you know that "it's basically a Gamecube Turbo".

Yay, Blue Stinger 2! Illbleed 2! Timestalkers 2! Oh wait.

Climax, please do make a proper Landstalker sequel though. None of that Ladystalker crap.

Those without dev kits probably know about as much as us. Publishers will probably be the first to hear anything, then it'll cascade down to developers. I can see why people here perceive it as a Gamecube Turbo before the fact with all the anti-hype thats been going on. I think he was probably being a little tongue in cheek about it too.

Yes, I was being a bit light hearted when I called the Revolution a Gamecube Turbo and people are also right in the fact that I only know as much as you guys... I've had some communication with NOA, but even they didn't seem to know any details >_<

Anyway, I was basing my opinion solely on Nintendo's E3 showing, I remember watching the new Metroid and not realising that it was on the Revolution until after someone told me.

Well, whatever they do, I'll still be buying one as I know they'll be a whole fiesta of games that'll want to party with my hands through as yet unknown device.

Metroid was run on GC hardware.

So it seems that rather than knowing as much as you guys, I'm knowing less! :D Now I'm even more bewildered and confused as to what the big N are playing at... I guess time will tell, but my guesses aren't always right ;)

It's kind of sad when actual developers know little about Nintendo's plans. You can develop a console without developer input but its not a good idea.
