He doesn't look the type into lifting and proteins, but even that would only get him bulkier and not ripped, like when he debuted in ECW.

He definitely doesn't look like he's into lifting. Fortunately with only diet you can be shredded bf%wise.

I don't understand, there's people who get ripped just by doing cardio, how come he trains and he's still like he got rid of his beer belly two months ago?

I'm trying to decipher this sentence, but are you saying he has a beer belly? Because without any scientific data I can safely assume 99% of society wouldn't have a stomach flatter than what's in the OP.

Look at the older picture of him I posted, it was flatter than a surfboard.

For those who haven't seen a bulkier Punk, this I believe was him at his biggest.

Sunny, what's the over/under that the bags under Phil's eyes are photoshopped?

They'd have to be photoshopped since people have been saying Punk "looks great" and "feels alive" etc etc.

Having defined abs would have mattered a whole lot more in the WWE than it will in the UFC, not sure why people are harping on that so much.

My question is how much would a disastrous UFC stint cost Punk in terms of a potential wrestling return?

None, Bork got worked and is the biggest thing going. People forgive and forget pretty easily.

None at all.

At least, no less than that lawsuit.

The lack of shoulder definition is what has me worried...that is an indicator of poor upper body stamina and power. Good luck pushing folks off from a grounded position and keeping a lot of swinging power if you got such little power across your shoulders into your chest.

In fact...where is his chest or anything else? I don't see enough here to feel any confidence in him.

Bork got sick and it fucked him.

He dominated Frank Mir in their first fight, and lost to a hold. Crushed Mir the second time and then won the title. He's the biggest thing going, but I think it would have been less big if he actually just got shit on.

Who's the crank addict they're going to feed to him?

He ain't fighting nobody real. Too early to lose the curiosity buys.

It's like poetry so that they rhyme.

As much as I'd like to give Bork credit that his losses were due to diverticulitis, I'm not sure.

I don't get why people are writing him off already, I think he'll do alright. Sure, he wont be the new Brock Lesnar but he will still do well imo.

There's really no case to make for why he'd do well. It would be one thing if he was a just a great athlete, but Punk isn't even that. He was a broken down pro wrestler just a year ago.

I'm not even confident that he'll beat the tomato can they'll try to feed him in his debut.

He's 36.
He's got a lifetime of nagging injuries
He's 36
He has no background in amateur wrestling.
He hasn't been practicing martial arts for that long. At the earliest, he started in 2005. At the earliest.
He's never been very fast.

Maybe it's genetic, maybe Punk isn't treating MMA like anything more than a hobby...all I know is that unless they throw him in there with a complete fucking amateur he's going to get molly whopped.

He's probably in better shape functionally.

Training for a fight is different than just going to the gym and lifting. He'd look better over time if he sticks with it.

he's mushy as a turd, dude is gonna get destroyed unless his opponent is a crack head

I guess you could compare to Cain, who himself isn't a greek god, but at least dude looks solid and like he has some muscular definition. He's also a heavyweight.

Is there a reason why he's coming into UFC?

Dude looks like an average joe.

Is he famous in the WWE world? Or am I just missing something and this is all a joke.

He says it's on his "bucket list". Which I'm sure is endearing to the hundreds of guys who are busting their ass trying to get a sniff at the UFC that he is treating this the way a 80 year old lady looks at skydiving. Mind you this is shortly after his famous interview with Colt Cabana where he complained about how unfair it was that "part timers" like Brock or The Rock would steal his spot in the WWE just because their name would sell more.
