CNBC: FBI's Comey opposed naming Russians, citing election timing

So Comey is basically said "Yeah Russia were the hackers and yes they are doing so to benefit Trump in the election but to tell the public about it would be unfair to Trump."?

Then rickrolls everyone with this new email shit completely void of substance and that's not unfair to Clinton?
 
I have disliked Comey since the whole issue relating to Apple and his attempts at cucumventing their encryption after the shooting in San Bernadino.

His public displays for sympathy in very layered national conversation was unnecessary.

This whole thing also reeks and I will be pleased when he gets forced out.

I'd love to see the GOP spin if the FBI indicated they had evidence linking Trump's campaign to Russia. The over the top justifications would be so ridiculous that I would probably laugh at them for the rest of my life.
 
This is EXACTLY why the FBI is not supposed to comment on matters of ongoing investigation! Because while the FBI absolutely was NOT supposed to talk about the Russians, him not doing so while simultaneously blabbing about Abedin's computer is not only exemplifying his massive hypocrisy, now it's calling into question about what should and shouldn't be talked about prematurely. Which the answer is always "nothing", but thanks to his little stunt there's now a precedent for doing this.
 
Why did Obama apppoint a Republican head of CIA.

It should be assumed that all republicans are cunts, and they should not be appointed by Democrats. Hopefully the Democrats finally learned this lesson

If a major domestic terror plot happened, for example, it wouldn't be able to be blamed on Obama and the democrats. Also, Obama was genuinely interested in reaching across the aisle.

TBH, we don't have enough information on his motivations for this nonsense. But it is very weird behaviour, evidence of which started when he chose to do that ridiculous press conference.
 
Hillary shouldn't appoint any Republican to a position above dog-catcher. Time to kick them out of the house until they get through rehab.

Right? And he already thoroughly investigated Clinton and found nothing, so he knew here that he would likely find nothing again. But he still thought that ignoring Russian connections was better kept a secret over more emails. The Republicans have this guy by the balls.
 
Yeah, there's no way Comey is just some naive fool who was played by the GOP. This punk essentially told his peers not to say anything to act fair and all, but then turns his back and does his own bullshit.

It's getting VERY difficult to argue he did not think of the political ramifications of sending that Letter friday, when he already made that same consideration on another case.

It's far more likely to explain his actions due to being a partisan versus him being inept.
 
Clinton sure does hate the Russians.
A single anonymous FBI source speaks less to me than shitloads of emails and video showing the Clinton machine in action.

I'll hold out for more FBI sources to corroborate on this one.

He did know the consequences, because he explained that in his internal letter to the bureau. My question is more what he hoped to accomplish if he was partisan, or what was his reasoning if it was just plain ineptitude.

Republicans SHOULD be shitting a massive brick over this, but nope they'll turn a blind eye because it's their guy. I wish half our population weren't idiots and see how big of an issue this is.
