That's basically it. White isn't a good midtone nor does it do specular/ highlights well.

The article in the OP is quick to point out that what is and what "we" see isn't the same sometimes. Well, the gif features Shaq who is definitely not an ordinary size sample and I also read the beard man was actually sitting, making the contrast even more stark. I felt the gif illustrated the unrealistic fears about black men in an amusing way, heh. Because if you are a racist looking at that gif, I gotta imagine it sent some shivers down some spines.

I share this on my Facebook and some guy responds that it's sad but he disagrees with the examples and goes on to tell how Brown had 80 pounds over the police officer and Tamir Rice was taller and heavier than average. Took all I had not to cuss him out fully. I did link him to the testimony of Darren Wilson describing Brown like a demon and like he was Hulk Hogan to a 5 year old. I still remember the "knock out game" news stories that plagued the NYC local stations. Basically any seemingly random attack that involved black male teenagers was blamed on the "knock out game" without every confirming if that was the case.
