This could be me sucking, but I'll ask anyway
Do the light machineguns just completely suck ass?
I'm most comfortable using an MP5 with a silencer, and using mobility to quickly close on opponents from odd angles, anticipating their movements and fighting a mobile battle
Consequently, hunkering down in one place with the SAW or RPD is not my style (similarly, I detest sniping)
So, considering that, it could just be my utter lack of skill with that style of play
But, I gave them a good honest shot. I tinkered with perks, I sought out appropriate avenues, I even had a friend in private chat covering me.
I did *horribly*. I went from top or near top every game with my usual MP5 or Shotgun (Vacant) setup to bottom every time.
Now again, I'd be willing to assume that I just suck at it - but here's the thing. On a LOT of the death cam shots, I'd watch myself get owned from a distance by a guy I'm shooting at armed with a fucking assault rifle. He'd pull up laser dot sight, tap tap, I'm dead. Meanwhile I'm unloading whole clips at targets and getting dick all for kills. The few kills I DID score would be on targets that ducked behind cover, or that I suspected might be behind a wall/in a building, and I'd kill them through their cover.
But in open fights? As soon as I'd start shooting, I'd become a giant bullseye, and every time, some dude with an AR would gun me down, no matter that I was tucked behind cover in an elevated perch somewhere with a good sight line, or prone out in the bushes somewhere.
Anyone kicking ass with those guns? If you are, please share your secrets, I'm genuinely curious.
