I must admit, I actually underestimated this game. I was hyped to begin with, but I just didn't expect the game to be this good. I am fully blown away by what I've played so far. The game is incredibly balanced despite the addition of perks, which could easily offset game balance. It's going to stand right next to halo3 for me as my multiplayer game of choice. I know it already.

Indeed...I hyped the game up, but only based on single player. The multiplayer blew me away.

Don't think you could really describe it with one word. It's frantic, pulse-pounding, intense and most of all, fun. I'm still getting the hang of things, but I played a map that was in an office building of some kind today. Going from room to room was very intense and fun as hell too.
 
currently my only complaint is the explosions on the rockets and air strike needs a little extra juice, they need just a little more umph... maybe a screen shake a few seconds b4 the jets scream overhead. And a little more flame in the explosion.

That is true. When I get killed by a RPG, which I do a lot, I just die and then see that it was an RPG that killed me. There's some smoke, but nothing that should have a real impact like the rest of the game.
 
Couple questions:

1) Is there any way to get more frag grenades at the start?
2) If you switch to the secondary fire on your gun using left on the D-pad (typically a grenade launcher), how do you switch back to primary fire? I couldn't figure this out last night.

1. No, but I think there's a later perk that will start you with more.
2. D-Pad left again, or Y to another weapon.
 
Cool, thanks. I think I was trying to hit left on the D-pad to switch back, but I get a little sloppy with the controls when someone's shooting at me.

Yeah; if you can, get in the habit of hitting 'Y' to switch back; it's easier to hit than DPLeft in a frantic moment (since DPLeft usually means you're lifting your thumb off of the move stick!).

My favorite loadout in the Beta, atm:
-M4 Suppressed, or AK47 Suppressed
-Stopping Power
-Steady Aim
 
I'm still just running with the basic assault kit at the moment. The only thing I've unlocked is a red dot sight or something that's useless and a few perks. When do you start unlocking the actual sights? I spend half the game going through the weapons of people I kill to find a better one.

It doesn't take too long. The M16 is pretty reliable, so it's worth hanging onto it for a while. The other good thing about using it a lot is that you'll complete the M16 challenges (25 kills, 25 headshots, etc...) which give you a fair amount of XP and help you level up.

I might use that then. And one last thing, how the hell do you switch the M16 to automatic? Or can you? I've been burned a couple times by running into guys with automatics and I'm stuck with semi-automatic bursts.

You don't. That's the whole part about leveling up, once you get the M4 you'll be good.

Played some earlier and was doing good. I think my best game was like 15-10. Every game other than that I went +1 on my k/d...it was funny. I'm slowly getting better and loving every minute of it.

They were pretty late in getting us the tokens for some reason. Luckily I was in touch with some pretty helpful guys so it was all taken care of. I'll have a quick writeup tomorrow morning after the embargo lifts. Delayed from the Ratchet Event so I could get some more hands-on.
 
I have a little problem with this beta.

I sent an e-mail with my gamertag (BlinkGT), my country (France), good answers, etc...and i received my token thursday morning.

But when i entered my code in the dashboard, it didn't work. So disappointed, i read some threads and i learned that tokens don't work for other people out of US. Ok.

To verify that there wasn't any problem with my gamertag, i gave my token to a friend who tried to enter the code. Same result.

But this morning, while i was sleeping, a member wrote that tokens was working for french acocunt. Without calling me, my friend entered the code to verify, and it worked !!

So he stopped the dl, hoping that it's not too late for me, i entered the token and...in the ass, didn't work for me.

My question is : can i send an other mail (with the same informations) during the other waves (next monday for example) to receive an other token ? They send only one token by member ?

Because i'm very disappointed and i would really play at this beta to report more possible informations in order to help IW to improve the multiplayer, and take pleasure with this game.

Sorry for disturbing, hope a cool guy will help me.

I thought only the US was supposed to be getting tokens.

I'm quite fond of the red dot sight.

I played with some dude today that only walked backward. He didn't suck either. I kept following him around marveling at the fact the fact, but I was always the one to die. Should have sent a friend request.:lol

BIG difference between playing a couple of people at a small press gathering and playing online versus the rest of the world. At the event I was slaughtering everyone and now I'm getting my ass handed to me. This has happened to me quite a few times already but I never get over that initial humbling experience.

Oh well, already lvl 2 and rising. GREAT GAME

Tokens were supposed to be sent to US Accounts only.
 
GRRR What if you got the questions right? My friend how got in is certain he put the wrong answers for a couple questions and he still got in ='(

I got the Quesitons right, have a us account, post at charlieoscardelta and didnt get in. I dont have a clue how they picked the tokens. Ill have to wait till Monday
