Just wanted to clarify, as far as I know (and what I was referring to) is that the "Noobtube" is only from BF2. Obviously other games have the under rifle grenade launcher, but in BF2 it was incredibly easy to get a kill with, thus getting the noobtube nickname (like the noob combo from Halo 2).

Essentially I don't want everyone calling it that on my account unless the thing is actually unbalanced, which it appears it is not so far. Thanks!

Oh, and as a Canadian, do I apply on Monday for the Beta, or do I wait to apply at a later date?

We'd been calling it the NoobTube for a while in the office, because for a while it was really unbalanced and was too easy to get kills with.

Out of probably 30+ games the connections have been excellent. Only one game where I was skipping around everywhere but then the game closed shortly after.

It happened me twice for me today as well. Maybe a server related problem? Something with the netcode a bit messed? Nothing was being downloaded... and the weird thing is I exited the game, entered another game.. and it was laggy as well. I still say maybe it was a Live problem or something, but still...

Well as far as I can tell it only pops up in some games, no one was on my internet connection at the time, and I notice every time it happens there is one or two people with a full connection bar and everyone else has one bar.

How does matchmaking decide who is going to be the host? Does it keep a record of the host's network performance and keep someone from being able to host a match after a few laggy games?

There's a lot of stuff going on behind-the-scenes to counter bad connections and deliberate evil-doing. It's a pretty complicated set of problems. =)

*Edit*
There's a good chance that you'll come across less lag in games when the "main" beta starts. There's a pretty limited number of people right now (in the big scheme of things).

You have a router? What i do at my dorm is setup my pc then clone the pcs mac address onto a router. Hook router to jack and then run my ps3,wii,360,ds,psp all through that same connection.

I don't remember the name of the map, but it is the war-torn rural area one. It is not Vacant or the helicopter crash one. It is in the house that has the dual staircase that leads up to the attic looking out onto the field with the tractor. I can go up the first set ok, but when I turn around and go up the second set my character will sometimes get stuck on the 2nd or 3rd step. Sometimes I have to back up or jump to dislodge myslef.

I'm reading the "Intel" section of CoD4, FAQ, and past trivia questions. Hopefully these won't be too hard, but I probably won't submit my answers until I double-check with you guys. Lets try to post our guesses here as fast as possible so we can all get in!
