Lets be honest florida's record would be way better if they played in the b1g.

....no we're not doing this shit, especially with a team that lost to Georgia Southern
by comparison, OSU's schedule (bold are decent teams):

Buffalo (8-4)
SDSU (7-4, one game left)
Cal (1-lol)
Florida A&M (3-9)
Wisconsin (9-3)
Northwestern (5-7)
Iowa (8-4)
Penn St (7-5)
Purdue (1-lol)
Illinois (4-8)
Indiana (5-7)
Michigan (7-5)

and obviously Mich St if they win
(and for FSU I would have only counted Clemson, Miami, and Duke, but at least they win impressively against a junk schedule)

also lmao at StoopKid attempting to use transitive property

Don't think any of the title contenders had a murderer's row of Purdue, Indiana, and Illinois late in the year. I mean that's a joke right?

I removed the fodder. Maryland is a stretch.

Thing is, Maryland was undefeated coming into that game, a lot of people nationally were pointing to that one as a trip-up possibility. FSU won 63-0. They've destroyed everybody other than Boston College.

Their margins of victory, smallest to largest:

14 (BC)
27 (Miami)
28 (Pitt)
30 (Florida)
32 (NC State)
37 (Clemson)
48 (Bethune-Cookman)
55 (Nevada)
56 (Wake Forest)
56 (Syracuse)
63 (Maryland)
66 (Idaho)

Very similar to 2002 Miami FL I would imagine (minus the Boston College game)

Pretty sure 2002 Miami FL had a few more top tier wins though.

I'll never understand why some people get so caught up in conferences. People seemingly root for some dumb conference more than their actual team.

Auburn AD Jay Jacobs: "A 1-loss SEC team that wins in Atlanta can't get left out (of the BCS title game). It's impossible."

Yeah, they can. If there's two undefeated teams in power conferences elsewhere, yeah. SEC might be the best ticket in town, but they don't get an automatic ticket to the championship game.
