CFB Playoffs - Opening Spreads
#1 Alabama -11 over #4 Washington
#3 Ohio State -3.5 over #2 Clemson

While I think that Ohio State is one of the 4 best teams, the committee's metrics for how they determine the 4 best teams is bullshit. IMO, 2 of the 3 years that we've had the playoffs, it's been fucked in terms of who gets in and why.

MvC3 and Infinite coming to all current gen platforms, Last Guardian releases, and Penn State doesn't make the playoffs.Fuck Penn State.
That is all.
How a top 8 playoff should be:
1. Alabama (SEC Champ) vs 8. Western Michigan (Group of Five Rep)
2. Clemson (ACC Champ) vs 7. Oklahoma (Big 12 Champ)
3. Ohio State (At-Large) vs 6. Michigan (At- Large)
4 Washington (Pac 12) vs 5. Penn State (Big Ten Champ)
Excuse me while I boot up my copy of NCAA Football 2013
And just for fun
Vegas Consensus - Hypothetical Match-up: #Browns favored by 17 points over Alabama
I like it but the at large teams should be the 7 and 8 seeds.

I'd still take Bama. Browns are broken, and Bama players would ball up just to be that team to embarass a pro team.
You can give me all the shit about the Browns being all pros, but that offensive line isn't MAC good. Outside of JT who has been below what his career was, that line can't block anyone, and some 22 year old guys would get after them.
The real difference between pros and college starters isn't that far. Pros don't practice nearly as much as they used to, and you don't think coaches like Saban and Urbs don't get their players laser focused on FB?
The biggest issue in that hypo is that Bama has a Freshman QB. It'd be like a 3 point game cause the Browns offense is terrible and their D would have a field day against an 18 year old.
/Whoa what happened there? I think I blacked out for a few minutes. :-D
You crazy, that spreads way too lowI'll take Alabama with that spread eight days a week
I could live with that.
The committee should come out and say that they were not aware of Penn State's win over Ohio State.
You crazy, that spreads way too low
Browns would win by 50. Come on, people.

Washington coach Chris Petersen on "We want Bama" signs: "Sometimes you gotta be careful what you wish for. I didn't hold that sign up."
Already coppin pleas.
Browns would win by 50. Come on, people.
I would bet everything I own on the Browns -17 and I've never bet on a game in my entire life.
No they wouldn't they don't have the offense man. There Oline is really that bad. Their QB was a College Senior last year.
They have one good WR.
Their D would be able to play, but the gap between a 22 yo senior a NFL rookie or 2 year player isn't that far.
The problem is that as a roster the Browns don't have enough of the type of players, 3-4 years in the league, still improving but overall talented.
It is a roster of replacement level players, and a college team could hang. The issue is if injuries or attrition happens.
It would be a touchdown or less game if for nothing other than the Browns Offense is garbage. I'd take OSU, Clemson and maybe even UM if you gave me 11-14 points. The Browns roster is legitimately that bad. Yall are fooling yourselves. Just cause they're "pros" they aren't good pros, and they aren't even passable semi-pros, that is a bad roster. It needs a total overhaul.
Bruh. Not even a 1/3 of college football teams starters will be everyday players in the pros

Not this again. The worst pro team would beat the best CFB team 10 times out of 10.I'd still take Bama. Browns are broken, and Bama players would ball up just to be that team to embarass a pro team.

I meant to say that the Browns would absolutely murder Alabama. Did I get my line verbiage mixed up?
I said Browns would win, just not by 50.
Accidental quote on you, you're verbiage was right
You said not only wouldn't they win by 17 they would only win by a touchdown
From my own post.
I'd take ..College teams... if you gave me 11-14 points

Regardless, this is a stupid argument for something thats not even relevant
Time to get rid of conference championships
So Rutgers played 3, 4, 5, and 6 this year. Holy fuck, Ash had no chance in hell.
@ClowESPN: Gotta ask: If 11-2 Ohio St won Big Ten title and had H2H over 11-1 Penn St, which was sitting at home tonight, any way Bucks don't get in?
This is an interesting question. Thoughts?
Alabama's best shot at the Championship was Washington being ranked 3. Not looking good for them.
This is an interesting question. Thoughts?
I think hes saying to reverse the team names and keep everything else the same. Penn State had tOSU's record and vice versa.are we saying the loses are exactly same to a pitt and a blowout vs michigan? Then yes. Or does ohio state sitll have a quality OOC win?

And only one of those teams let Rutgers score and they still made the playoffs!
It's logically a flawed argument and a silly one. It wasnt jsut one team was 11-1 and one was 10-2 and one was OSU and one wasnt. It was what were those 10 and 11 wins and what were those 1 and 2 loses.
Im not saying brand and money didnt influences stuff, its influences everything. But you can jsut say give them one more loss, and where are we.
Switching it around and OSU definitely would be in and the arguement would be that championships matter. That's the problem with having a comittee. They use whatever narrative is needed to justify their picks and can change from year to year. Same stuff happens with the basketball committee every year.
