what is the significance of the burning pants?

Michigan's head coach, Jim Harbaugh, is known for wearing khaki pants literally all the time. So its basically fuck yo pants Harbs

On the flip side, the reason Brutus is wearing gold pants is because anytime Ohio State beats Michigan they get a gold trinket of gold pants.

are you going to the game this week?

Not heading to Michigan this year sadly, I usually hit one away game a year, this year it was Va Tech. I did have access to some face value tickets but turned the down, thankfully a few days before last saturdays shit show. I've been to Michigan more than enough times past 10 years or so been trying to explore more places. Just need to knock out Maryland/Rutgers and I will once again have been to every B1G stadium.

For a one off game, going to Michigan makes sense. I'm hoping that if UCF is somewhat competent it would be good for some great sideline antics from Harbaugh.

Mirror Lake jump officially banned by the university

shit was on the edge for years, the fence shit really didn't work at first because people would just tear it down the night before, the wristband thing was a joke

all it took was one incident, someone almost drowned in it a few years back and that was during the summer

the crazy thing about it is, the "lake" isn't that deep to begin with

Looks like the line moved from Texas by 2 to Texas Tech by 1.

Feels like on average we should win reasonably handily, but I think Texas is even more up and down than we are this season so who knows, we could lose by 30.

Does either team need the win to be bowl eligible?

Sounds like Denzel Nkemdiche might be done with football.
He's a senior, so he may just be done this season. Unless he was hospitalized with something related to playing football where he risks reinjury by continuing to play, or if it' a chronic condition that will make playing impossible, I find it tough to believe that he wouldn't give the NFL a shot. He's a really good player.

Looks like Flood might be retained for next year ... holy shit, not going to renew my tickets ... I just can't.

Just saw on ESPN that if Florida beats both FSU /Bama, they still won't get in the CFB top 4. I'm not sure how that makes complete sense.

Very pleased with this development.

He's a great coach. After next year, he'll get a welcome contract extension.

You are too pessimistic.

Rivalry Week Pick 'Em

This week, we're going old school. Pick the winners and pick the margin of victory (MoV). Every correct Winner gets 1 point, and every MoV pick within +/- 3 points gets a bonus point.

I don't see it, even if Florida hasn't been pretty. If Florida manages to beat FSU they are going to call Bama/Florida a "play-in game" and basically an extra playoff round. Same with Iowa/Michigan State barring an upset.

The "eye test" could only go so far, what about your resume?

Florida hasn't been the same team since Grier's suspension. The committee sees that and are using it against us. If Florida wins out, they'll be in. They won't leave the SEC champion out.

Holy shit, Chip is getting skullfucked today. He might actually be fired.
Yeah, this is brutal. How much more of this can he take before he crawls back to college?

Edit: Chip just looked like he desperately wished the NFL had a running clock in blow-out situations.

Where are all these top tier programs expecting to find their next coach? So many seem to want a proven coach, but outside of poaching Jimbo or luring Kelly back to college, who are these 'proven' coaches that don't already have a decent job?
