Just finished reading through my pile. X-Force 22 was so fantastic (obviously). But I really, really loved the dialogue between Logan and Deadpool on their way to the tower. Probably one of my favorite character bits from each of them in a long time.

I know for a fact that Jason Aaron is writing Wolverine and the X-men for a nice long time. If Bendis wants to take over Uncanny X-men, whatever. Honestly, that book hasn't been great since Claremont left, and Greg Land will probably still be drawing it.

So we'll have one decent-to-mediocre book turned crappy, the good books in WATXM/Uncanny X-Force/X-Factor will still be great, annnnnd that frees up the Avengers for Mark Waid/Jason Aaron or whoever to make them good, too! I say this is a positive change!

Aaron unfortunately is out of the Wolverine book after the current arc.

I hope he keeps writing WatX for a long time...the last 2 issues have been great! I really dig Nick Bradshaw art too...he's a better fit for the series than Bachalo.

Where did you hear this? If this is true put me on fucking suicide watch. I can handle Bendis taking over the slew of more mediocre books (read: everything on team Cyke) but if WatXM gets messed with bad things are going to happen.

Fuck no, I don't want Bendis writing Cyke, Emma and company. Dude is terrible on team books. Marvel just giving the guy a free ride because of his sales success. Let him play on a stand alone book.

Now that I think about it, Gage literally just got on Legacy 2 issues ago... I don't really see Wolverine's entire side of this lineup getting fucked with by this.

Gillen is a great writer but honestly he hasn't been doing anything that interesting on UXM, so all that side has left is Adjectiveless, which most people hate (I like it only for vamp Jubi, but it has just been bland lately), Gen Hope, which is ending next month, and New Mutants which is really good but far from being super successful...

Now I haven't read a single issue of Bendis' Avengers (they've never been my thing) but if he basically just gets free reign on the Blue team books, is this really that big a deal?

Dude writes the most atrocious dialogue for team books. Cyclops is my favorite X-man and the thought of Bendis writing the book is just bad news. Hope Johnston is wrong this time. Hate that the idiot is right most of the time.

i could see him taking over uncanny or x-men. the others are either too low profile or have just recently gotten new writers. i dont like this one bit though. he ruined avengers for me :/

You just know that Bendis is going to shoehorn either Spider-Woman, Luke Cage or Jessica Jones as an Avengers liaison.

I could see them putting him on one of the lower selling books just to boost sales, Gillen and Aaron were pushed pretty hard in the X-books relaunch.

Kieron Gillen has said many times that his entire UXM run has been leading up to Avengers vs X-men. I think that its gonna be ending after that. He seems like a placeholder in-between the big writers, just like he was with JMS/Fraction on Thor.

This just reminded me, I'm looking a good comic not featuring capes. It can involve the supernatural and super science, just no capes. Also, it has to have an ending.

X-men is a book that is just floating around without a clear direction and uncanny x-men is just plain fucking horrible.

Bendis is most likely taking over those two titles. I'm not a fan of Bendis' current avenger's run but do read it out of habit. He's not a bad writer but the Spielberg of the comic book industry, someone who writes books for popular consumption.

The big speculation now is who is going to take over the Avengers & what direction they will take it.

Looking forward to reading next weeks books tomorrow=).

If Bendis even touches WatX or starts making plots that have to be followed in other series I'm going to rage. This whole Osbourn stuff going between the two main Avengers titles is ridiculously annoying. I'm constantly getting the two mixed up waiting for the monthlies.

I used to buy the hell out of Bendis on Daredevil/Powers/Alias but I haven't really read anything of his since Powers ended the first time besides Spiderwoman. Did he get crappy since then? I guess I did read some of the event miniseries but those almost always suck so I wasn't blaming him. Oh well I haven't read my Uncannys since the Schism yet but I guess if it blows that could save me 8 bucks a month.

Yyyyeah, count me among the ones whose heart skipped a beat when they saw that headline on Bleeding Cool. With rare exceptions I've managed to avoid Bendis's tenure on the Avengers books for years; him coming over to the X-Books, when they're so damn good as they are right now, is a major cause for concern.

Nah, his work on smaller-scale books like Moon Knight and Ultimate Spider-Man is still pretty decent. But the bigger team/event books just don't play to his strengths, and his deficiencies at pacing, plotting, and respect for past continuity/characterization are much more conspicuous there, and have made his Avengers books increasingly tiresome to read.

He will be taking over those books & NYC Comic Gaf should keep the tuesday before AvsX launches open for a special event at the biggest comic shop in the U.S.

My guess right now is that the rumor is mostly false, and that Bendis will instead be taking on a new pair of team books spinning out of AvX that are grounded in both the Avengers and X-Men corners of the Marvel Universe. But maybe that's where Gillen and Aaron will end up... sigh.
