Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell by Paul Dini and Joe Quinones coming in May? That's a big deal. This has been in the works for many years.
Woah why have I never heard of this before?

I like the cut of your jib.
How terrible has Catwoman been? I haven't read it (but still pull it, sorry) in like 6 issues.
Thank you.
It bounces around quality wise IMHO. In some ways it just doesn't make sense to me, like in the current arc, shes teamed up with some random gang in Gotham to fight the Penguin. You have the Penguin in a helicopter shooting missles at a street and blowing up city blocks. In Gotham. And Batman doesn't show up. Really now. That's just kind of a surface complaint I think the real problem is they don't know what to do with the character.
oh, they know. they did in nu52 Catwoman #1 -> latex sex.
they simply don't have the balls to make the erotica comics Catwoman deserves.
Catwoman R rated Morrisson comics. pretty please.
To be fair, if they did something like that, You would probably have people rioting all over the place.
Layman is writing in November, so if he is getting a run at her it would be something to look at. Noccenti is flatout awful. Really oike this updated spread of the Trinity War teaser. http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?disp=img&pid=1377306534 can't wait for Forever Evil AND the February release of their respective figures.I followed Catwoman for a large chunk of Judd Winnick's run and honestly, the first few issues were very solid. The dialogue consists almost entirely of cliches but the actual premise and the direction he was taking Selena was great. The sex scene was absolutely fine in the context of the issue and March's art was glorious.
But then it just veered into shite territory with Dollhouse, Dollface, whateverdumbfuckingdoll villain and the dude-sidekick who was a completely flat character...

And DC won't let that happen for long. Gotta be hung up on the Bat, gotta be part of his world.
International jewel thief. Addicted to the thrill of the crime. Daring heists, daring getaways. Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Moscow, Rio. Pleasure and adventure, wrapped up in skintight leather and a bullwhip. Case the joint, do the job, win the chase, fence the loot for a fraction of its worth, live like a queen for a week or two until the itch needs scratching and do it all again.
But, she's got to leave Gotham for that. Leave the city of gruesome psychos, pointy-cowled jerks, and grim personal drama behind her.
And DC won't let that happen for long. Gotta be hung up on the Bat, gotta be part of his world.
Goddamnit Spike, sometimes I wish you were running DC. That sounds amazing.

Someone who doesn't view a single DC title worth getting? Interesting choice. ;-)
The Catwoman books' problem (as of when I read it) wasn't that it was being tied into the Bat mythos at the hip, it's more that there is just a shitty writer with little editorial to reign it in. They are (were?) trying to make her an antihero when she should be a criminal who occasionally does a good deed.
she is on the JLA...nuff said.
"Selina's Big Score."lol. Catwoman/Darwyn Cooke. say thanks after.

Aside form Adam Strange the rest of the roster will be made up of my dream team of DC characters. A few of these characters are members of the current team, but many have never been in a Justice League before
Yep, that's what Adam Strange used to look like, alright.Dunno if this Adam Strange image is new or not, but Lemire posted it on his blog
I want to dive into Trinity War, but where do I start? Is this spread across multiple titles, or is it just under one banner?

Justice League #22
Justice League of America #6?
Justice League Dark #22
Justice League of America #7?
Justice League Dark #23
Justice League #23 Out this Wed.
Non important tie ins in Pandora, Phantom Stranger, and Constatine.
Justice League
Justice League of America
Justice League Dark
Phantom Stranger
Trinity of Sin: Pandora
Two issues of each, I think.
EDIT: Forgot Constantine.

EDIT: GrandHarrier and I are, miraculously, in agreement on this. Enough with making Selina the antihero.
I'll just say this.
Marvel's new Gambit series from Asmus/Mann ends sometime next month, and I read the whole thing from start to end. And looking back on it, in my opinion what ultimately sunk that book wasn't just the carousel of fill-in artists, or the fact that it starred Gambit... it's that they went "actions can have grave consequences" way, WAY too early. He pulled one "guilty pleasure" heist in the first issue, and then spent the next eight being the "hero" and dealing with the fallout. Then, he spent the next four being the "hero" and trying to protect the woman he met in the first issue. Then, he spent the next two dealing with the aftermath of that debacle!
The premise of that book was "mutant thief-turned-hero needs to scratch that thieving itch," and then it spent all its time telling readers about the resulting rash. It had its moments, but overall that's not a fun ride.
I think you're referring to an issue of Superman/Batman that happened post Final Crisis. Can't tell you the number though.Hey guys, new to comics. Reading Batman stuff right now but there was something I was hoping someone here could help me find.
My motivation to start reading comics was from a picture I saw of Superman and Wonder Woman sitting on a building(?) together and Superman saying "I miss him." He was referring to Batman. Pretty sure anyways, otherwise it wouldn't have resonated.
Idk why he was saying that, but my speculation from my memory is that he died in that comic or something. My friend told me that the only one Batman died in, at least in a joint comic was Final Crisis, but he may not have died in the comic I'm referring to since I'm only guessing from that one panel.
Anyone have any ideas? I've only read Batman Year One, Long Halloween and Dark Victory, so I have no clue to what it could be.

Following Bruce Wayne's death during Final Crisis, Superman has trouble coping with his friend's death, even informing Dick Grayson that he is essentially wearing Bruce's skin by dressing as Batman, but a conversation with Wonder Woman allows Clark to accept what has happened to his friend and acknowledge Grayson as the new Batman.
Avengers Arena #14 - The final arc begins. Cullen's gonna die, and I'll be sad.

My best guess is that it's #76.

This picture you describe is most likley from "Justice League of America (Vol. 2) #0" from the tailend of 2006 and it was a popular issue where readers saw past/future/current versions of the trinity and how they are connected.
It has the dialoge and setting you descirbe. Diana reassures Clark, that Bruce knew how much he ment to him even if they had differences later on.
Wonder which grant Morrison project will materialize first .
Wonder Woman or multiversity
Wonder Woman has 20 out of 120 pages ready to go, according to Morrison and Paquette.
Do we have any idea what the status on Multiversity is?
Strange Talent is indeed fucking awesome. Tradd Moore is a beast.Just wanted to chime in that I finished reading The Strange Talent of Luther Strode last night. Brutal fucking book. Enjoyed it. Already have The Legend TPB pre-ordered.
Still waiting for Amazon to ship Batman 52 Vol 1 and Punk Rock Jesus, but I have Saga volumes 1 & 2 to read in the meantime.
@BuddyJoeHooker: That's some strong google-fu! Thank you for the picture. Now it seems like it is indeed B/S.
Fellow Trinity War readers - fancy for a last round of speculation before JL23 hits?
The preview is meaty. So now we know Darkseid did conquer/destroy E3 before reaching the Prime Earth and it seems like a the CS survived the incident. The Outsider did not come alone - A woman came with him. It does not seem to be Superwoman, but most likely the "mole" in the JLs. And once again the age of Metas seems to have started earlier on E3 than on the prime earth. This is another interesting tidbit of information, because we know that on E2 the "Wonders" seem to have emerged close to 20 years prior to our earth. This means that DS seems to try to reap the specific earth whenever they have individuals that are at least at level 8, when followin the classification Morrison established in Action Comics #7. Further Supes said in JL5 that he saw a version of himself die/hurt badly while at DS mercy. What if this was not the E2 Superman as we thought till now, but instead Ultraman? And with the speculation of E2 supes being alive but brainwashed and the story happening in B/S I hope that the "next phase" of the N52 will go bonkers with the multiverse.
Okay ComicGAF, topic. Looking at how much praise Hawkeye and Captain America are getting, I wanted to ask - have there been any notable runs that started off *amazing* and then got bad?
