So as per Shiniez on Deviant art TopCow will be publishing the first book of Sunstone in December. It will be 100 pages. Here are a preview of the work he did while formatting the book. He has done some good work on redoing the art.

And there is a variant cover for the first book:

Nice stuff. He is doing it digitally and physically and when the second book is published the first one will go free on his deviantart page. I am in for physical books as he deserves it. Plus I wanna own this shit.

From what I gather new strips will still be on the deviantart page first.

:D

Hooray! So as far as the physical edition goes, is this going to be a wide release? Or are we looking at a niche, special-order type of deal?

The revisions made are definite improvements.

Fuse #5

As we're winding down with this first arc, the killer is revealed and I suspected that person an issue or two ago. I'm glad my intuition was spot on though I'm curious how the sixth issue will play out. Like most Image books, I think The Fuse will read better in trade form. Volume 1 will release next month on August 27th.

Seems wide but more info is coming when the solicit comes out soon, he also said it will be part of the DRM free jazz on Comixology.

Bii that counter is so clean that I almost accused you of using stock photos for the cover. Damn son.

Kipp

but I am taking tiny steps forward
Well, another slow night, so I'll use it as an excuse to show my progress on my drawing abilities.
I finally figured out that drawing simple frames for people makes it WAY easier to draw people way faster and much more accurately, so that was kind of a revelation for me.

The drawings I posted here before probably took 1-2 hours total, but this one only took 15-20 minutes and this one only took 5-10 minutes
Neither of them are close to perfect, but for quick sketches, I'm really happy since those quick sketches look basically as good as the stuff from before today that I was working forever on to try and get them as good as possible.

So what is it about?
I like the art.

I know Sunstone is the deviant comic, but is it all collected somewhere in a neat matter than can be read easily?

That's what this is about, he is releasing it in books now. It's neatly organised into chapters on his Deviant Art page.

It's a webcomic about a budding relationship between two women and their interest in BDSM. It's hilarious and sweet.

Here's the first chapter

You'd be surprised at how non-white it actually is. Or if it's even a counter. ;)

Civil War

So having the Marvel Unlimited promotion for the next month for 99 cents, I'm going to read some comics that many consider "not worth reading" (not exclusively, mind you). Here we have Civil War. A Marvel event where the US government passes the Superhero Registration Act where superheroes are required to register under this new law, revealing their secret identities in the process in the wake of the New Warriors botching an attempt to capture a few supervillains. One said villain, Nitro, exploded and killed over 600 civilians in the process.

I thought the plot was moving along decently and I was entertained throughout, until we arrived at Captain America's decision near the end.
Giving up?! C'mon!
. I thought it was a cop-out end to an event that had potential to shake up the Marvel Universe. Speaking of which, since
Iron Man/US government's side won
, were there any lasting or "permanent" affects from this event?

Lastly, I thought it was very uncharacteristic for
Spider-Man to unmask himself and reveal that he is Peter Parker to the world. For someone who has fought so long and so hard to keep his identity a secret (to his enemies, family, and friends), it just didn't sit right with me that he did it for the sake of the Superhero Registration Act
. Civil War wasn't a completely terrible event, it just didn't end well.

What the world really wants is a Frank Quitely drawn Hawkeye.

Of course, they'd have to shoehorn in a cancer angle to explain the shape of Clint's head...

I'd read it. Is it about Clint or Kate.

Realistically is this the end for Katie Kates solo adventures? I would totally love a solo Kate book.

There's a very in-depth breakdown by a Morrison superfan what all those 52 worlds are/could be, along with why he's so keen on the number 8 being important(lay 5 and 2 on top of each and get 8, 8 panel grids for Watchmen issue, etc).

and here's a new CBR interview with Morrison

I didn't even realize that the Superdoom world from Action Comics was Earth-45™. This is the goddamn greatest. Everything about this piece is great and y'all should read it. It's not even spoiling anything from Multiversity because it's all stuff that was there already, it's just put together in the same spot.

The Bendis/Land relaunch will be right around the corner. I can't wait for traced Kate porno faces drowned out by speech bubbles everywhere.

Holy crap, the new Turtles movie looks very, very ungood.

What is time in Nocenti's world?

I tried to read the last two Catwoman books yesterday and gave up after two pages. It's offensively bad. I'm done. It's unreadable.

Don't you see what you've been doing? Nocenti books are enchanted with a dark magic indeed. Everytime you read a Nocenti comic, it saps some of your lifespan and adds it to her own. Buying Nocenti comics only causes more suffering for others.

I bought the issue last week :(. Never gonna read that.

I still cant believe good old Dick Rider got shelved to make way gor Loeb's creepy son proxy.

He'll be back in no time if the rumor is true about the GotG end credits scene (I haven't seen the movie yet). Since Alan Fine and Axel want to follow the movies, it will force their hand to bring Rich to the front of the line, better than ever and hopefully with his own book. I figure Alexander will flounder within a few years and then they may
try to hook him up with Kamala/Ms. Marvel to promote sales.

I hope Marvel don't read that spoiler lol, I don't want to give them more bad ideas.

Don't we get the in-universe explanation on what happened at the end of the Thanos Imperative in today's Guardians, as part of Original Sin? That might leave some room for a return.

Or Bendis could do a Fables and spend an entire issue explaining why a well liked character can't ever return (yeah, that actually happened).
