Very broad question, but what's everyone's opinion on Gotham Academy
Only read Vol. 1 so far, but it's awesome. Super fun read with fantastically charming art IMO. Also, Maps is the best.Very broad question, but what's everyone's opinion on Gotham Academy

I would totally ship Renee and Kate. But what about poor Mags?
Ordered the Deluxe Edition

Have read it a couple of years ago but only liked Black Glove and Batman & Son.
Have you read the rest of Morrison's run? You won't get as much out of it as you would if you've read Batman & Son, The Black Glove, and RIP. Which are all very much worth reading, by the way.
Funny timing. I ordered that, my first Absolute, just last night.

But since I enjoyed the last couple of GM books ive read, I think I will revisit his whole run. Want to buy every Batman Deluxe Edition anyway

Thats actually confusing me. Where is Kipp and what have you done to him?Look at me talking about comics.
Fuck yes, you're gonna love it. Pyg is my favorite Morrison-created Batman villain.

At first I missed the fact that you said "Morrison-created BATMAN villain" and I immediately thought to myself "Somebody definitely hasn't read Doom Patrol."
Doom Patrol had the all-time greatest villains.
I need to finish Doom Patrol, so you're not far off the mark.
I need to start Doom Patrol....someday. That, Animal Man, and Invisibles. And Hellboy. And Top Ten. And Gotham Central. And American Vampire past volume 1. And.....
This comic reading stuff is so complicated. I understand the buying part but what am i supposed to do after that?
Very nice! You did well. Now you need to get Absolute Batman Inc!Which I bought when it was released at the beginning of this year and still have not read... I mean, I've read the series before, but not the Absolute edition.

Man, I completly forgot that I also have Batman Inc. Unopened in the shelf.
I waffled around on that for a bit and actually just went with the hardcovers for that. I semi-regret it while at the same time I'm terrified of falling down the Absolute hole given how much I already spend on (but tend not to mention here) on comics. It wasn't helped by looking at my Kabuki Library Edition and being reminded how ridiculous Marvel's and DC's prices are.
Admire them on your bookshelf, and feel the satisfaction of alifewallet well wasted.

The joke is on you, I need at least another large bookcase to handle all the books I've gotten the last few months, so I only admire most of them in boxes and piles on the floor! Although I actually read the stuff, too. I know, I know, I'm doing it wrong.
ugh, swimsuit psylocke
That page in Rios' story with the riot and the three circle panels of them linking hands is perfection.
That's fair enough. Burnham is one of my all-time favorite artists, so it was a no-brainer for me.
I still need to pick up Kabuki...
this looks fucking terrible
like, holy shit, that's the saddest fucking Mohawk Storm ever
that's fucked up and wrong Mohawk Storm should be fucking GLORIOUS what the shit is that
really the most exciting thing on that cover is the new season of Fargo
that show is god tier
I only very vaguely flipped though the book so far to check it out, but everything I saw looked gorgeous and even the cover price is only $40, so yeah, you do.
My god, he looks like Ivan Ooze from Power Rangers: The Movie. What the fuck????

I flipped through it too
...At David Mack's table at SDCC right in front of David Mack after telling him what a huge fan I am of his art. And after telling him that I don't have Kabuki yet and I've been definitely meaning to buy it. And then walking away from his table without buying anything because I couldn't bear to pay cover price when I knew I could get it for 42% off on IST.
Maybe the guiltiest I've ever felt for not buying something.
He also asked me what I've read that had his art in it after I told him he's one of my favorites and it was like a deer in the headlights moment. I was like "OH SHIT WHAT HAVE I READ WITH HIM IN IT." And I was like "Uuuhhhh... I read Alias, and your art was amazing. And... uh... I feel like I've read something else you were in too... But uh... I mean, I've seen tons of your art and stuff posted online and it's all amazing."
After both of those things, I felt like the worst David Mack fan on earth. He was a super nice guy though. And somehow there was nobody else at his table. People must be intimidated by top-tier artists or something.
How did you manage to start Doom Patrol and not finish it? Even I of all people couldn't stay away from Doom Patrol once I started it. Every day I woke up excited that I got to read more Doom Patrol.

Oh Kipp <3
I think I fell off because I had to go on a trip and couldn't bring the books with me, then when I got back I kept putting it off. I think I'll pick it back up today.
