Honestly this is probably the best creative team they could come up with from the current crop. Really hope it's true.
Aaron and Pepe Larraz
Aaron and caselli
Aaron and Bachalo
Imo.

I wonder if Marvel realizes they can kill off Danny Rand in the Netflix MCU with little blowback.
Pak and Land are doing Return to Planet Hulk. This is like the third book they've done together.

I'm not even holding my breath that it'll be decent. Planet Hulk was brilliant, and I even enjoyed Son of Hulk after that. Sakaar was just a really cool place.
I'm actually kind of interested in the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC thing. Though I'm not sure if Odin using Mjolnir tracks with what we know about it so far, but I'm down for an ancient Iron Fist, Phoenix, Black Panther and Sorcerer Supreme.
Pak writes a really good Hulk so I'm hopeful.

Lands art was good in the planet Hulk secret wars book.
So is DD an original Avenger.
I do realise the timescales might not align...
Odin: "But Jane, I can cure your cancer!"
Jane: "I'm good B."
X______X
I feel like giving her a magic solution to cancer has it's own issues. That's the only real part of the story that didn't sit right with me. Like, I get that struggling builds character, but if you've been offered a magic solution to your problems with no downside, then just take it.
That's the thing: it's a magical solution. She could have been cured long before that, but she didn't take it because magic has a price, and she didn't want to risk whatever that price may be. Hell, Mjolnir reverses all her chemo progress from her last change. She's actually gotten worse as time has gone on. That said I haven't read the more recent issues (last one I read was the end of the Asgard/Shi'ar War), so I don't know what's happened. That's the only real part of the story that didn't sit right with me. Should have had her make a deal with Mephisto.I feel like giving her a magic solution to cancer has it's own issues.
Where is this from? It completely reminds me of the "But the fire burns forever" ending from Final Crisis.Definitely was too cool an idea not to come back to, this immediately captured my imagination during that two parter in the mighty thor.

Hehehewait Jason Aaron, are you trying to say that
the fire burns forever?
where the hell did you get that from I wonder
Is an Atlantean going to be in Avengers 1,000,000 BC too? I didn't see them mention that.
Well, I'd argue it's more of a homage:I'm not sure dude, this isn't the era that will be in the one shot I don't think, this is Thor with his Axe days, but he started seeding and playing with the idea he's employing in the one shot, the deity-esque old iterations of the ghost rider, iron fist, phoenix etc.
It's Mighty Thor 6-7 and I haven't read Final Crisis so I'm out in the cold on the joke haha I assume those lines are kiiinda cribbed?
But I love Final Crisis and anything that gives me those vibes is worth checking out.

I enjoyed IvX, but it pained me that [ENDING SPOILERS]Jesus. Extraordinary X-Men #17 is on MU this week, and what an gut punching emotional issue. Refresher if necessary:9 year old mutant girl dies of X-Pox at X-Haven in Limbo as Storm prepares for war. Storm (the girl's hero and idol) makes her an X-Man on her death bed.
Lemire is a good writer, yow. I don't know what the consensus was on XvI (it's just getting underway on MU) I assume everyone hated it like most events these days, but Lemire is certainly holding up his end judging by the issue I just read.
Jason Aaron on twitter:
No, but why would she take that offer from a dude who tried to kill her? Plus I'm pretty sure she knew she couldn't be cured and wants to go out as a heroFor the story he's telling, or for the character herself?
My issue is that I feel like if you offer that to any real person, they'd never say no.
Did Odin or anyone lay out what the price for that magic was? It's been a while since I read that issue.
ROMIf you could force everyone ITT to read five currently ongoing comics, what comics would they be?
The Unbelieveable Gwenpool
Shade the Changing Girl
Tomboy
Mother Panic
Star Wars: Doctor Aphra
Giant Days
In that order.
Hopefully it's good. I'm upset he's not Cap anymore. I wonder what's gonna happen to the other Falcon.I'm sold on this book now. I like the creative team and the interview makes it sound really good.

Detective Comics
Superman
X-Men Blue
Old Man Logan

Oh, yeah. That's definitely ax Thor. And a Native American headdress probably doesn't make sense for 1,000,000 BC.
Heh, InStockTrades got my order *mostly* right. Hellboy Library 4, 5, and 6, and Transmet Absolute 1? All just as described...
...but they randomly swapped in Preacher Absolute 2 in place of the Transmet Absolute 2 that I ordered. If I didn't already *have* Preacher Absolute 2 I might keep my mouth shut and just keep it, as it's a slightly more expensive book. But I guess now I have to get this heavy-ass Absolute back to them somehow and have them send out the book I actually ordered.
They are probably going to try and rebuild him with Defenders.
Hey, at least you'll have those HB LEs to console you while they sort it out!
Yeah, the Hellboy Library editions are SO GOOD. Great feel, thick but not *too* thick, big pages but not *too* big, nice bindings, awesome look to the spines on the shelf, rational price points, etc etc etc.
The Fear Agent library editions are really good, but the Hellboy ones just feel perfect.
So I've heard! And saw. In my dreams -_- lol.
So we're all coming together to buy Donnie the first Library Edition as a birthday present, right?
How in the world do you of all people not have the Library Editions?
Haha I'm pretty much just trolling myself at this point, there's no better explanation. I guess it's kind of nice to know there's at least something out there I don't have for when the time comes? I don't know :L
You deserve them, my friend.
