COMICS!!! |OT| March Harley Quinn does the Banana Splits

I thought that Spider died shortly after biting Peter.
That its still knocking about somewhere is kinda absurd.

It bit silk shortly after it bit Peter, then died. She's had her powers for over a decade just like he has, but she was hidden in a bunker and not out fighting crime.

Redisabling Barbara is problematic. I mean, how do you even do that? Nah. Though that wouldn't change whether or not she becomes Oracle. That just means she'd take more of a backseat, and based on what Birds of Prey is doing, it seems like that might be the case.

I disagree. She'll end up either as a more traditional Batgirl (in terms of costume) or going back to Oracle.

What does it have to do with Bendis? He didn't retcon it.

I just can't see it. WB/DC have a lot of merch in progress using that version of the character. Like if we get a live action batgirl soon it's likely she'll be using something similar to the burnside design.

The art works great for the comic actually. Was put off by it initially, but I wouldn't want it any other way now.

Fair enough. I am all for art that doesn't stick to some sort of house style.

To be honest I also doubt Barbara will go back to Oracle. As much as I want it.

As Oracle she was such an amazing, indispensable part of Batman's allies.
Now that is gone it feels like we lost something valuable.

God Damn. Off topic but as a HUGE King fan, the It trailer looks absolutely spot on.

I never finished the books because it's creepy as fuck but man the film looks really cool. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I watched a horror film let alone at the cinema but I might bend for this.

Haha, is this the old tv movie thing with Tim Curry? I've only read the novel (thankfully, it seems).

The TV movie wasn't bad per se. Curry's portrayal was pretty on point.

It just felt like a pretty safe PG-13 version of IT made for TV.
It had no bite to it.

IT is disturbing, violent and terrifying. And not just because of Pennywise.

Haha, Monkey, you're going to want to go ahead and make a note to avoid Muppets Treasure Island too.

The lady and I don't really do the cinema anymore, our local theatre is like taking a skinny dip in an ashtray, but I'll be picking it on bluray for sure. Glad you guys are digging it too, King media adaptations have quite an incredible record of being pretty poor against all odds, so I'm honestly surprised. Now if they can nail The Dark Tower, this will literally be the best year. Bit suspect that that one is out before It and has no trailer as of yet though.

Any non Narez opinions. Could do without the usual hyperbole

It's fluff, more or less. You're not missing anything by skipping it.

Kitty is leader. Storm steps down. The O5 have "left" the school. The X-mansion has been teleported into the middle of central park, instead of West Chester.

There, saved you $5.

so, X-Men Prime? yes, no? Any good?

Both of the Prime books that came out today (X-Men, Inhumans) don't give me much confidence in the books coming out of it. The X-Books seem like they're going to have the same dullness as when Brian Wood and Marjorie Liu were writing them. I get the appeal of going back to classics with this "faux-Rebirth" take but it's far from exciting.

Ewing at least has a good voice on some characters for Inhumans Prime but I can't still can't be bothered to care about the Inhumans,
even with the addition of Noh-Varr
.

>Burnside Batgirl is over, Rebirth sales were poor. Barbara will go back to being Oracle, she'll have a heroic sacrifice in Metal and be back in the wheelchair, both Batgirl books will be canceled and relaunched
>Batgirls, with Barbara (as Oracle) mentoring both Stephanie and Cassandra as new Batgirls, written by Genevieve Valentine

Please happen PLEASE

X-Men Prime is a nice book. It sets out to establish the new direction of the line and does it. The book doesn't go into much detail about the ongoings though so don't expect anything crazy.

Thanks for the responses.

Also, I just realized Birdie had actually been talking about Inhumans Prime. I thought it was a joke. lol

Read the first 3 issues of Sheriff Of Babylon....okay. Strapped in. Let's do this. Feels like reading a comic book series in the vein of Syriana or something. Maybe a little more grounded than that. Syriana and Sicario having a baby.

They didn't care enough to kill the cat.

Well Lazarus didn't disappoint. Holy shit.
It's has been so long

Also while X-men prime is fluff like someone said basically a glorified ad (that is harsh) it's not bad just not exciting except maybe the weapon x part, the rest you can catch up on gaf or reddit or whatever and is not nesscary.

It is probably blasphemous to say the Inhumans was more enjoyable to me, helps that Marvel Boy is here and actually hooks me.

Now back to the books that really matter Valiant and ... Image.

I haven't read a comic in about a week, but I couldn't resist diving into the new issue of Lazarus.

God damn it's so fucking good. What an incredible climax.

Sadly it sounds like it will be at least a year before arc six :( But there is going to be a miniseries in the meantime.

Inhumans Prime was alright. It was basically just connecting Uncanny Inhumans/IvX and Royals. felt like Royals #0

Still excited for Royals next week though.

The wait for Lazarus 26 sucked but I'm so glad they took their time, since the arc will now be epic and amazing forever. I can't wait to re-read it

God damn it's gonna be a hard fucking wait for the next arc though :( I hope Lark is really ready to go next spring.

Remember when they were pushing Marvel boy

Also the the problem with stuff like Lazararus with the long wait with all the tv ans comics i watch and read because i'm a geek it hard for me to remember details and basically spend half the time trying to remember and hope the wiki is updated (spoilers: it never is)

Hum. I mean whatever, if Lark needs the time, he needs it. I love and respect his art, and I'll read other stuff in the meantime. It's just a bummer to hear. Lazarus definitely hovers at the top of my favourite books.
