the first issue of Dazzler from the 80s (drawn by JRJR!) is weird as hell, not just because it exists, but also because it culminates in a sing-off between Dazzler and Amora the Enchantress, which Dazzler wins and Amora gets pissed to set up #2. what a bizarre comic to have lasted 40+ issues!

Also read some Liefeld X-Force/New Mutants, though there's only a couple of issues from both runs on MU. I liked them okay, the art can get kinda sloppy (the X-Force ones moreso - i respect Robert but yeah some of those criticisms aren't unfounded) but they're fun to read, so. i like the premise of "have a team of cool badasses and have them do and say cool shit." i... i might have to get the omnibus because i was legit disappointed that it stopped at #4. Sucks that it stops there and then the next available issue is like 100 issues later, meaning no Capullo run either. ah, well.

In response to this, I've seen Mark Waid blast the NYT author of the original article for her Wonder Woman book for being full of inaccurate stuff. I gifted that book to my GF last chrismas. Yikes.

I'm kind of confused as hell while reading Avengers and New Avengers while trying to catch up to Secret Wars. Should I be reading them back and forth by publication date and are they both continuity wise taking place at the same time? Because Stark's whereabouts and pretty much everything in New Avengers going on kind of confuses me so damn much and I'm not sure how much of it I'm just overthinking.

I legit cried at the end. Totally didn't see it coming and holy shit is it perfect. If people just read spoilers before the story without the immaculate lead up of the narration I genuinely feel bad for you. Marvel really pulled a boner by releasing the info early. I've never been more happy to be unspoiled in my whole life.
