I agree completely, Constantine was a pleasant surprise. I knew the art would be good, but Tynion had never been me away as a writer and to my knowledge this is Doyle's first foray into writing.

You might check out some of the Silver Age stuff like "The Flash Archives", these are collected versions of the 60s issues which tended to be a lot more scientific in the way that he dealt with villains.
So I know five people who bought it then, figure that's about 50%-60% of its sales for the month.
Christian Ward is awesome, all the more reason to read ODY-C. His designs in that book are ridiculously good.

New 52 is a good jumping on point, but I found volume 1 just okay. Art was really good. The one that REALLY got me going for it, though:
