So what this article is telling me is that now is the best time to pitch my book about a female Juggalo who is struggling to get her GED while partying all night with the wrong people? Is that flawed enough? Maybe we should have her drive around a nice car her parents bought her because she promised she would use it to get a job and go to college, but instead she picks up her boyfriend Ricky who loves drinking Jamison right out of the bottle and listening to Riff Raff.

This shit is gonna sell like hot cakes.

Gonna need Ed on art duty for this one.

How do I preorder? lol

Until Kipp finishes Rafas comic this gets to be Comic GAFs default comic created by one of their own

I'd support ya

I love basketball sometimes. Tonight is one of those nights.

D rose brah. Ice in his veins.

Are there any other basketball comics other than the Jordan one Zombine posted last week?

Fuuuuuckkk yeahhhh,,, I'm still so geeked out about that game. My wife was upstairs getting ready for bed and came down stairs "Whats wrong!?!"
Oh nothing D Rose is fucking cold blooded.

I exploded when he hit that 3

caught up with kid nova, fun book, especially with duggan. caught up with a ton of shit lately, those monday updates are gonna be sweet soon (when I can read all of it)

Okay, Comic-gaf, I need entrance levels Green Lantern stories. Some good stuff. Ideally, something with Sinestro or something that explores the other lantern corps in a good way.

Are the new 52 Green Lantern comics good? Is there a sort of defining Year One or Zero Year for the big GL's? It doesn't have to be an origin story, but sometime that a new reader can digest. But I need it to be good, something you'd use to sell the reader on the Green Lantern concept. What you got?
As Vyer noted start with Johns pre N52 GL run. It's great and shapes alot of the GL universe today. If you're loving that also look into the Pre N52 Green Lantern Corps books. It focuses on the rest of the Corps while John focuses on Hal. It's very good too but not as essential as Johns GL book.

And if you're loving all that keep going into N52 with these two books until the end of johns run. His ending feels so complete you can stop reeding GL and feel you got a complete start and ending. And the follow on creators aren't as strong.

Ok, they are refering in the Arc with (SW Spoiler)
Nathaniel Richards, where Future-Val returns to the present to talk to Susan yomething that sounds exactly like the Incursion. So it seems like Franklin and Val are permanently gone...

I played it last night and this morning, and it's definitely a lot of fun. My hope is that it isn't content starved and that there will be a ton of DLC rolled out.

Really good, ran smooth. They try to start you off with gyro controls, but once you make them
Manual and lower the sensitivity it's a blast. Only concern at this point is the longevity of the game and the content at launch.

Sweet. Great to see how it's shaping up. I'll try to get into the last server test.

Ah ah wrong usage of these gifs, gonna have to consider this lie detector test invalid.
And please, everyone continue to think that I think that Remender is a bad writer. Though calling Hickman a bad one is 100% bullshit.

Rent must be insanely cheap next to the Baxter Building.

But shit, this stuff is so good. God, please let the second Omnibus be at the mail already.

So, I finished off the 2 books in the first Don Rosa duck collection and the first volume of Sunstone last night (was already pretty far into the duck stuff).

The Duck stuff was quite interesting as expected. Lots of creative stuff, and the collection is great. Big nice hardcover books in a solid slipcase and a crapload of extras. It was cool to see that they even went so far as to include a story that was never properly finished, was only a storyboard essentially. But yeah, a ton of cool, creative stories that aren't really written like your usual comic stuff. Just taking a creative idea and running with it, or making a big adventure. Admittedly there are definitely some stories that are just okay. Even they aren't bad, just nothing too special. But again, probably the significant majority is stuff I'd call straight up classics. This would really, really be a great book to give kids when they're growing up, seriously. And I'm definitely going to grab more when it comes out, as well as looking into the Carl Barks stuff as well.

And Sunstone... you guys were totally right. It was a definite build-up, though. Like, I'm not into BDSM myself, and I was kind of uncertain at first. But it just kept drawing me further and further in, and now I'm totally looking forward to reading the next volume (which I fortunately have sitting here), and kind of sad no more are out yet (though of course there's the deviantart). I'll have more thoughts later probably, but for now... I was surprised at just HOW risque it got. Like, this is definitely the most sexual thing I've read that I wouldn't call porn. But yeah, more thoughts later, probably.

Interesting to say, though, that these comics actually did have something in common: they both feel like something completely different from the norm (and are both great). Though I still wouldn't say that BDSM and anthropomorphic ducks go together, unless you have some very specific fetishes...

Trying out a few free #1s on CMX.

Lumberjanes #1 - Set up seems interesting and the art is great but I don't think I can deal with the dialogue.

Southern Bastards #1 - This is pretty amazing. But it looks like a series I will have to read once it is complete and collected.

Bandette #1 - This was fun. Just ordered the first volume off Amazon.

Sex Criminals #1 - Interesting premise. Placed a hold on the first vol at the library

God Hates Astronauts #1 - Was this written by Katy, The Penguin of Doom?

So now that I've read both runs (not including SW) I think I can safely say that I enjoyed Hickman's FF run much more than his Avengers

FF had heart, Avengers from the start just felt like expansion and it lacked that heart, just massive plot outlines that continually expand the scope of the story.

Yup. It's that heart and family that make it better. And given how Hickman is usually more cold and distant with his stories I'm surprised he had it in him. He's usually more like a scifi writer that uses characters for his bigger picture plot then a storyteller that has characters drive the story (like Saga or Sex Criminals). If that makes sense

theres always a selection of free comics every week

I'm able to read any comic. Even the ones you like. And i wasn't charged/renewed or anything like that, it was a gifted month that doesn't auto-renew. I had read someone say they were still able to read comics before like this, I was wondering when the party ends so i can use the ULTRON code for another month.
