only to discover there's a Doom Patrol omnibus coming out in 2014?!?!?!

fuuuuuuu I'm currently reading vol. 1 at work during my lunch break,

time to cancel all future plans to continue reading the series =P

On one hand, Doom Patrol omni is like 1200 pages. It could properly be labelled a WMD in several countries.

On the other hand, Morrison/Case Doom Patrol is maybe(totally) my favorite comic book run ever, so having that in a big ass hardcover is just so...tempting...

pls help

Haven't gotten super far into my rereading with the omnibus but it's sewn, which is great. It's a really well put together book and its size is just awesome. And absurd.

Hah, don't bother. There isn't anything that will clue you in on this besides it establishing Kang as a time-traveler. The other characters are super left field and were established in other, much older unrelated books with different continuities.

Just read Zero #1 and damn, another Image series to put on the pull.

Probably the most interesting kind of story to have a different artist every issue.

Yeah, the different artist thing works well for this series. And you ain't seen nothin' yet. The first issue is the weakest of the three.

I just read the third issue tonight, actually. Spoilers for issue #3:
poor Mina :( She isn't dead for sure, right? I mean, we didn't see her dead. And that dude took a bullet to the forehead and survived so, like, a severed arm doesn't nesessarily mean death, right? Right? Cyborg Mina?

I know almost nothing about Nowhere Men except I'm buying it because people in these threads have raved about it.

Zero's on my radar in the future for the same reason. I added his Change book to my list as well.

Remender has previously written really awesome pulpy sci-fi in Fear Agent, so having him return to that alongside art by Matteo Scalera is a winning combination.
