Marvel Now is already laying a beating on my wallet. Probably will die down in another month or two when I start cutting books.

MarvelNOW seems to have no mercy, not that I'm complaining the more great books the better.

Yeah, obviously the worst is yet to come (Secret Avengers, T-Bolts) but so far, it's some surprisingly decent comics.

It's just the other shit I'm annoyed at: 4 dollar books, double/triple shipping, artists jumping ship, etc.

I dunno, there's a short Tbolts preview up and it doesn't seem all that bad. If anything else the line up seems fun.

I'd also like to recommend Comeback if anybody is on the fence about it. Fantastic art, concept, and writing so far. Shaping up to be one of my favorite miniseries ever.

This is that Ed Brisson book right? That cat lives in my town, I should really pick this up.

Tomorrow is:

TMNT #16
Hawkeye #4
Indestructible Hulk #1
Deadpool #2

Pretty Marvel'd out week. I really hope Indestructible Hulk is something special.

The ending of Justice League 14 is one of the most unintentionally hilarious set of comic panels I've seen in a while

Batman being all pervy

Damn P4G kept me up lol so I'm posting until I can go to sleep...

Anyways, I'll check out my haul when I finally pick up my books - last week was no go so I have to make up for it now lol.

I'll tally the haul after I get everything.

Let me take a guess... no wait, hold on, I've gotta get my mind into the gutter first.

Okay go:

-Team saves Superman from being werecheetahed with some kind of MacGuffin
-A talking down and/or appeal to his "humanity" may or may not have been involved
-Later, Wonder Woman: "Wow, we almost lost you Kal! Life is precious, so let's f*ck!"
-Superman: "Score."
-Surveillance cameras catch the whole thing
-Batman: "This is my scowly face. I don't like what I'm seeing, but totally not because I'm jealous."

Close to the mark?

Pretty close,
no appeal to Supes humanity and flip Diana's line to Supes
and you got it.

Being in a different hemisphere, about what time are the new Marvel books expected to be hitting Comixology? I'm jonesing really bad here, man.

I wanted to get both a Hulk and Captain America but since I'm on a budget I'm only going to get one. I think I'm going with Captain since I enjoy Remender.

Batman might be the creepiest guy ever. I love it.

hahaha, yep

Wait wait WAIT. Wasn't WatXM out last week? With the shark girl and everyfin? And it's out again this week? Fuck sake Marvel, you really know how to squander goodwill don't you? It's a good book but is it £10 a month good?

I'm behind everyone in the world but I read Saga TPB 1 in one sitting last night. I didn't really like Y The Last Man very much (well, the first volume, anyway) but I adored this - the writing and art are just fantastic.

I've got Mind The Gap 1 and The Unwritten 6 still to read, and I'm probably picking up Saucer Country 1 when I get the chance (I enjoyed the first issue). Looking forward to New Deadwardians TPB next year as well.

I've kind of fallen behind on keeping up with what's been coming out recently; on the Vertigo/Image/IDW side of things has there been anything else particularly standout this year? I didn't care for Manhattan Projects or Thief of Thieves which were both starting around the last time I really checked into this sort of thing. I gather Punk Rock Jesus is pretty good so far?

^^ Mudman has been a standout title for me out of Image.

Uncanny X-Force 34:

This arc is wrapping up pretty much as expected. Evan resisted his dark side. Wolverine ended up killing Daken (I don't expect Laura to make it out of Avengers Area either, making Wolverine somewhat unique again). Betsy is done killing, and spares the Shadow King (sort of). I will admit though that I thought for a moment that Fantomex was going to be revived when the Skinless man offered Evan his heart. Sort of bittersweet that we are down to one issue before Remender is off the book.

Looking forward to see if anything comes of the plot with AoA Nightcrawler and Mystique though.

big day today...

captain america
hawkeye
mind the gap
wolverine and the x-men (hopefully it's bad so i can drop it... again)

and uncanny x-force oh shit

JL #14
Dredd #1
Catwoman #14

Was going to buy Captain America #1 if my LCS had the Rivera cover but they didn't and I haven't been keeping up with that series so I skipped.

Yup...exactly as expected. They brought Daken back to kill him again and I expect X-23 to die in Avengers Arena. All of the Hulks better watch their backs when Marvel decides to go back to just Bruce and Jennifer

jennifer should watch her back as well.

I always thought Deadpool's face was messed up. But in UXF his mask is ripped and you can see he looks normal. What gives?

Final Execution happens after Deadpool loses his healing factor and gets his face back, but before he decides that actually, he's fine with regenerating.

UXF is some damn good comics. always leaves me emotionally drained, but it's wrapping up very nicely.

while it's sad to see remender wrap up his run there, his run on captain america was off to a really promising start. fear agent was a great take on the old school sci fi adventurer, and this looks to be following a similar direction. should be really fun.

hawkguy was great as usual. if clint doesn't wife up his girl, he's a big idiot.

no idea why i keep reading watxm, but i do. double shipping should get them to this "school rivalry" thing sooner, and i'm a sucker for that sort of thing.

jennifer should watch her back as well.

never!

Judge Dredd was OK, not sure Swmyzxplt would have been my first choice for the book but it works OK.
Also, bad robots - start of the Robot Wars?
.

2000AD itself is great again this week, I implore anyone with even a passing or lapsed interest in it to start reading again from Prog 1804 onwards, you'll be rewarded.

I don't think I can continue reading Iron Man, the story seems interesting but I can't help but be turned off by the 'art'.

Hawkguy & Wolverine were good reads though.

I missed Aja on Hawkeye today, but not as much as I would have thought. Great fill-in who had a similar style, plus the same colorist I think. The panel with Kingpin's face closeup was hilarious.
