Better advice is never watch One Piece. It's the most Toei ass Toei garbage. It's 10,000 episodes of the most God awful art and animation in the history of mankind.

It's worth going back to the beginning. I was the same I steam rolled through the anime up to enies lobby when I was going through a rough time after my dad passed and loved every minute of it. I just read the manga by arcs now so I don't get stuck with the week to week grind.

Guys, pls, it was 2007 - the anime wasn't even that bad back then. Up until Enies Lobby, it was pretty damn good; I skipped the fillers.

This is something I didn't find out until now, almost 13 years after getting into Anime/Manga. There's a few shows that I still love due to nostalgia, but I would say that almost 100% of the time I prefer the manga over the show (i.e. Prison School)

I personally find the transition between beautiful hand drawn art by a mangaka and his/her assistant and lifeless/cheap animation to be incredibly jarring. It's very much so a Hasbro/Bandai Star Wars figure situation.

Thinking further on it, I think the best transitions typically come from series that are either late into their life or finished. I think FMA: Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter are two of the best adaptations because of this; they are absolutely stunning at times. But, they are the exceptions and the reason I even bother mentioning them is because they stand out in the sea of lifelessness.
I need to calm the fuck down because Mission 16 in MGSV is the single worst thing I have played in a game this year god fucking damnit it is fucking hell, it's so fucking terribad it's making me regret all those mean things I said about the goddamn Cobra Tanks from Arkham Knight, holy fuck who thought this would be a good idea in any goddamn way shape or form

I don't think I've ever watched any fillers that have made a lasting impression outside that one arc in the original Hunter X Hunter adaptation. The Garlic junior stuff in DBZ was alright I suppose.

Quiet makes that mission a walk in the park. She fucks up Skulls like nobodies business. There are several ways to tackle that mission that don't make it anywhere near as bad as you make it seem.

I fluked it, managed to get the Fulton right before the alert, then I hoofed it to D-Horse for the escape. It's still goddamn bullshit, and the way the Skulls railroad you into one particular playstyle is the exact opposite of what makes MGSV great.

I think that was kinda what they were going for along with the faux tv episode bullshit. It's funny that people were worried about Kojima's name not being on the box when it appears like a thousand times in the game. But seriously though they do let you know in advance in most cases whether you need to get tooled up to the max.

You're forgetting though that there are also 'male' jobbers, I can't list them atm off the top of my head, but it feels single minded to just mention the ladies only.
Vegeta is the best glorified jobber. I feel like giving Yamcha a title like jobber is an affront to other jobbers to be honest. He's just Yamcha.

Yeah, I don't know. At least, for example, Chopper has Monster Point and Usopp is a smartass. Frank is whatever, but Brook is pretty strong. Even fucking Coby has Rokushiki.
My comment was mostly pointed at Nami and Robin post-timeskip. Nami still seems pretty weak, and Robin's power could potentially be OP, yet all she does is make big feet.
EDIT: admittedly though, One Piece has this thing where even the villains aren't all that strong, the story just works for them (Hody and Caesar lel)

I need to take a break from SiP for at least a couple hours, I think. It's too emotionally draining even though I realize it's using a ton of tricky stuff to directly toy with them in a somewhat unfair manner.
Yeah there must have been some funky shit that went on with it on Midtown. They removed it from the app, never advertised it on release day, left it up as a "preorder" for weeks,and just now it's listed as in stock. Got mine today
